This experience at Halcyon House was a little disappointing. We had informed them it was a special occasion but nonetheless were given an unsatisfactory room. ( number 202). We had upgraded from garden view to a pool view which was not visible due to a solid concrete balcony wall about 150 cm high and in the corner of the building. I am 148 cm tall ! My husband complained but was told the hotel was full. They did move us the next day to a very nice room, but when only staying for 2 nights, it was a very disappointing experience. Breakfast in the Paper Daisy restaurant was very good as was dinner on the birthday night. They did try to make amends by giving us a bottle of red wine which we appreciated. The decor of this Hotel is really lovely,but also expensive, so it's a pity room 202 is unacceptable. We did hear others had previously complained.

Everything about this hotel was fabulous, the staff in front the GM,the restaurant team. We can’t say enough kind things. Seriously every person felt like family

Had a lovely getaway - shame it wasn’t longer. Spa was great, delicious food at the restaurant, nice to chill by pool, easy walk to the beach and lots of activities via the hotel. Will come again. Perfect boutique getaway

A wonderful Xmas stay!

We have just spent 5 nights (over Xmas) in one of the ground floor rooms.
This is a very well run property.
The daily included breakfasts were wonderful, and prepared to order.
And the one family lunch we had at Paper Daisy was excellent.
No meal service was ever rushed.
Every staff member was friendly and helpful…. Which is fairly rare these days.
And, Sheree was a pleasure to deal with right back to my first phone call 6 months earlier.
Our room was a decent size, and no noise carried from the restaurant to our room.
The daily topping up of our minibar (not alcoholic) and snacks was appreciated. Bathroom amenities were of reasonable quality.
A wonderful stay, which we would do again!
