Amazing time at the Manor

We stayed at The Manor Basket Range for a weekend getaway and honestly, it was magic. The place looks straight out of a fairytale - old stone walls, beautiful gardens, and that peaceful Adelaide Hills vibe that just makes you instantly relax.
Our room was two-storey with a little spiral staircase, comfy bed, and a huge bathroom with a spa bath (which was the best surprise after a long day wine tasting). Everything was clean, cosy, and had heaps of character — not your average hotel room at all.
The staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home. Breakfast was simple but perfect - fresh pastries, fruit, and coffee enjoyed outside with birds everywhere. You could honestly just sit there for hours.
It’s close to some great wineries and restaurants too, but we ended up just wanting to stay at the Manor because it’s that peaceful. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and just enjoy being there.
Can’t wait to come back — next time we’re staying longer!

Highly Disgusted at their service

Absolutely disgusted that 30,000 for a wedding to book our the whole venue yet they still sold rooms and one being the bridal suite and photography room. They refused to rectify it leaving bride and groom in a room facing the car park and ugly water tank with no welcome favours for the special couple. Food service was atrocious with many guest not being feed. Drinks were served for an hour less than purchased. Complaints where ignored with no attempts to rectify. The venue itself is the only selling point of this place. Couldn't have the places or outside puts going leaving guest to freeze. For 30,000 on what was received it's beyond a rip off and they have no skills to communicate thru such issues so be aware before hand to be happy with not getting what you paid for. We had two guest knock on our door and had to walk them they check in as no-one was available onsite and if you require anything or if there is an emergency no-one is there to assist. Also careful when you shower cause they want to charge a $1000 fee if the steam let's their extra sensitive alarms off accidentally. You'll see the sign in their bathrooms.

A regal night

Amazing place to stay.
An interesting drive to get there (I think Google maps stitched us up as it had us wiggling around all over the place!), but the drive was worth it - you literally feel like you're staying in a castle. We loved it.
Check-in was contactless, and instructions were given over the phone, which added to the intrigue. Our room was 2 storey's with a kitchenette & sofa bed downstairs and a large bedroom & huge beautiful bathroom with spa bath upstairs - it had everything we could possibly need & I only wish we'd been staying for longer to be able to appreciate it more.
The older child did complain a little about the sofa bed being uncomfortable, but he said it was OK. The upstairs bed was very comfortable, and the spa bath was amazing.
We were also surprised with breakfast "rations," which was a hugely generous supply of breakfast foods that we were not expecting but gratefully accepted. A nespresso coffee machine with pods was available too, as was a supply of T2 teas.
Would definitely recommend a stay here, but make the most of it and stay for more than 1 night.

Very nice gateway, one of the memorable stays, well priced.
Not many restaurants nearby, better to drive to Hahndorf for dinner.
