Beautiful compound near the Hill of Seven Colors

This is a well-maintained complex within walking distance of the famous Hill of Seven Colors and the vibrant town of Purmamarca. Most of the rooms have a private balcony or patio. The grounds are lovely, and we had excellent meals. I thought the Hill itself was something of a letdown. It’s beautiful, but the tourism photos make it seem more vividly colored.

Does not meet expectations

We really found it to be a scam in terms of price-quality.
We arrived and no one greeted us, we went to reception (guessing where it was) and the young man did not look at us, he was typing on the computer without looking up.
The room leaves much to be desired in terms of quality, decoration, and level. The mattress was extremely hard (and we usually prefer a firm mattress).
The bath and face towels were old and stained. That type of towel was already matted and thin.
At night, it was impossible to sleep: the noise from outside, the refrigerator motor, and the lights made it impossible to fall asleep. There were slamming doors all night long. Inexplicable.
The breakfast was among the worst I have ever seen. The tables were arranged in such a way that you could not see the views, and the waiter never approached the table. At the back, there was a rectangular table with a pitcher of low-quality yogurt, orange juice that was not fresh, some cut fruits wrapped in plastic, and baked goods of poor quality. There was no variety of jams or cold cuts. The cut avocado was oxidized and covered with plastic wrap. Very, very poor quality of the products and variety.
There were many flies on the bread. We have traveled to different places, making a route from Mendoza through Fiambalá, San Antonio de los Cobres, Atacama, and we arrived in Jujuy, and honestly, it was one of the least recommended places we encountered on this road trip.
I really do NOT recommend it.

Good basic hotel in a good location

La Comarca is on the outskirts of Purmamarca, a downhill walk to the town of around fifteen minutes (and conversely uphill when returning). The grounds are nicely done and have wonderful views of the colourful rocks that surround Purmamarca. The original room we were shown was up some stairs and had two twin beds. We were then given a room on the ground floor that had a double bed and some cooking facilities. This room was spacious and, because of the extra facilities, had sufficient customer accessible electrical sockets. The wifi was good.
The bed was comfortable, the air-conditioning quiet and efficient and the shower sufficiently powerful.
Breakfast is served in the main building and had the usual selection of fruits, cheeses, bakery products and cooked.
The staff are efficient but not particularly friendly.
This is a good, basic hotel in a good location for a visit to Purmamarca.

Forgettable

You get what you pay for and the choice is limited in Pumarca. The hotel is tired. Windows are broken, the bathroom was damaged. I suspect because of the lack of competition they are not under pressure to improve. The staff were the least friendly and helpful of all the places that we stayed. The food was good value but mediocre at best. We would definitely not go back. There is hope on the way we went to 2 Bodegas for lunch: Bodega Yacoraite, very beautiful; great food and they are soon going to add bedrooms. 20-25 mins from Pumarca. Bodega Kindgard very beautiful, great food and a really nice owner who worked for the UN and is a fount of knowledge on the local area. They have rooms already. 10 minutes from Pumarca. The surrounding area is stunning.

Very good location
