VERY COMPLETE HOSTEL

Hostel with everything expected for this type of accommodation, it has many common spaces: hall, internal patio, terrace and everything very well decorated and very cool, along with a mini library with books
It also has a full kitchen and refrigerators, as for the bathrooms there are quite a few and the showers are very good (unlike the one in Purmamarca) the only point to improve is that they are outside and in winter with the cold it is uncomfortable.
I was in the shared room for 6 people and everything was correct, the only drawback is that there are no lockers (like there are in Purma).
The breakfast is barely adequate (coffee with milk, toast and fruits), in short for the affordable price paid (7USD per shared room) everything it offers is more than good.

Regular

It was quite cold in the dining area, kitchen and bedrooms.
The breakfast is not the best, but it is acceptable according to the quality-price ratio.
The biggest criticism is that to go to the bathroom and showers you have to go out to the patio, and on cold days it gets complicated.
The showers are good, but the bathrooms were lacking in cleanliness.

Attention...

Carmela and Sol, two unique people, not only because of their attention and predisposition, were involved with their joy and shared every moment with all the passengers of the Hostel...
For any suggestion they were immediately willing to resolve it. Thank you girls, a big kiss.

A mixed bag

Giramundo felt like a typical hostel with painted murals and colourful walls and a cool roof terrace. It was fairly clean and showers hot when we used them. Staff were helpful, the girl who checked us in didn’t seem to speak English so be aware you may need Spanish. Beds were comfortable with plenty of blankets but room was cold with no storage space / space to hang stuff and only one plug socket by the door. Could do with a little more thought eg. helpful touches like hooks to hang towels and coats etc. Pillows were also extremely lumpy. The included breakfast was tiny/ not great, some cut up fruit and tiny slices of bread - probably the most disappointing breakfast we have had in South America. Had music playing most of the day which was loud and not to our taste, which is fine, but also some of it quite derogatory to women and made relaxing quite difficult. It also went on fairly late so if you aren’t looking for a party perhaps go elsewhere. Small kitchen with lots of people trying to cook in the evening. Not the worst place I’ve stayed but wouldn’t rush back.

Dorms that are far too full and very cold at night

The three story bunk beds in tiny rooms with no space to put things were one thing, but the doors that you could not close properly so that it was freezing at night were even worse. The breakfast is pathetic or pretty much non existent and nobody spoke English, only Spanish speaking people were invited for trips and excursions
