Finding flights from the Palma de Majorca Airport (PMI)

Since the Palma de Majorca Airport (PMI) is situated on the popular Balearic island of Majorca, this is one of the busiest airports in Spain, with non-stop flights out to over 50 destinations in Europe and Africa.

Located 8km from the city of Palma de Majorca, you can make your way to the airport on buses or taxis.

Domestic routes are operated by Vueling and Iberia usually, and international routes are generally through S7, Air Europa, Norwegian Air, easyJet, Air Arabia Maroc, Niki, airberlin, Swiss Air, and Ryanair.

Popular destinations from Palma de Majorca Airport

From Palma de Majorca, you’re in a fantastic position to discover the other great cities of Spain. Fly to Barcelona (BCN), less than an hour away, a Gothic city that will charm you with its cuisine, and its centrepiece, Gaudi’s stunning cathedral, La Sagrada Familia. Or fly to the atmospheric city of Granada (GRX), filled with evocative Moorish architecture, including the UNESCO-listed Alhambra.

Spending a little longer on the plane, say two to six hours, will have you flying into the bright city of Copenhagen (CPH) Denmark’s delightful capital, or out to Geneva (GVA), where you can tour the picturesque Old Town and swim in the lake in summer, or spend winter in nearby Chamonix, one of the most beautiful ski resorts along the Alps.

Escaping to destinations on the other side of the world must be done via a larger international hub than Palma de Majorca, with the closest being Madrid (MAD), whose airport operates routes to the Americas, out to Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and out to many more cities in Europe.
