Flights from Mannheim

Mannheim City Airport is a minor regional airport that serves Mannheim City, the third largest in the state of Baden- Württemberg in Germany, just right after Stuttgart and Karlsruhe. The airport is located in the district of Neustheim approximately 3.5km east the city centre and is mainly used for general aviation. However, its proximity to the city centre proves to be a challenge. Having been surrounded by B38A highway to the east and B37/A656 highway to the south, coupled with a power transmission line to the east and a number of high rise buildings to the west makes navigating your way to the Mannheim City Airport difficult. Discussions about relocating the airport to accommodate expansion has been ongoing, yet no final word can be determined if this will push through. Despite it all, Mannheim City Airport has its own control zone and neighbouring control zones, which are Heidelberg Airfield and Coleman.
