Great experience with this hotel

I thought this was an excellent hotel in the heart of central Santiago. It's close to many museums and sights, like Santa Lucia hill, Plaza De Armes, the Teatro, Museum of Fine arts. The hotel is also on the L1 subway (entrance just beside it). The hotel staff were friendly and nice, and tried to accommodate requests like late check out. I stayed for new year's and could see the fireworks at Torres Entel at the hotel. Rooms were very large and clean, with a nice high pressure rain shower.
Breakfast was alright, not a lot of choice, but the desserts, fruits and beverages were nice and extensive. The pool was also not the biggest, but there's a nice deck for drinks and socialising. Gym was small and the only weight training machine was faulty. Do note that Centro Santiago is not very safe at night. Although the hotel has ample security - like a guard, metal railings at night, key card system and lots of cameras - I twice found strange figures loitering waiting for me to use my key card in the elevator so they could access the upper floors (which I declined).
That said, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Fernando at the 5th floor bar was great !!!! It helped he spoke English but was very friendly and on top of his game.
Great employee. Facility and rooms were clean.
Nice - rooms a lil out date - needs new tvs and more us outlets - other than that a great spot - right in the heart of downtown !!!

Location was very convenient for walking into town but rather remote from railway links. Staff were very pleasant and the suite we had was adequate but not regal.

Bad

Poor location; you cannot stop in that area as there are bus stops.
Lack of clarity when making the reservation; it says parking but it is paid. To find the parking, you have to circle the block 20 times, there is minimal assistance, and no prior notice of where to go. After managing to find the parking and getting down, we were told that they could not process the guarantee payment and we had to pay. They do not notify anything; no email is sent with this information. We did not stay; we had to leave at midnight to find another hotel.

There was no ventilation in the bathrooms so there was mold growing on the ceilings. In US terms I would equate to a motel 6 - we were here for 2 nights and it did the job but I wouldn’t stay again
