Like any European city, the centre is built around a Cathedral, and Bordeaux’s Cathédrale Saint Andréis one of the most beautiful in Europe. Standing since the 12th century and listed as a UNESCO Heritage Site, this is one of the city’s most impressive sites, and worth scheduling into your itinerary.

Nearby, you’ll find the Esplanade des Quinconces, a huge square with a stunning fountain in its centre.

Just outside the city is where you will find the rolling, dappled vineyards of France. Touring the countryside is a must, you will be able to see the gorgeous sunlit fields, the impressive chateaux, and go on wine tastings in the many wineries that populate the hills and valleys of Bordeaux.
