Car Hire at Wick Airport

This information is correct as of August 2015

Discover some of Scotland's most remote areas the easy way: hire a car at Wick Airport. There's not much in the way of public transport this far north, so it's best to have your own form of transport. With four wheels you can get out and explore the rugged scenery of the highlands, pop in for a dram in the friendly villages, and hang ten at some seriously intense surfing beaches.

Where to hire a car at Wick Airport

Europcar/National is currently the only firm offering car hire at Wick Airport. It's recommended that you book your rental in advance to avoid disappointment.

Petrol stations near Wick Airport

Depending on your car rental agreement, you may need to hand your car back with a full tank.

There's a petrol station at the Tesco superstore, which is just a few minutes' drive from the airport. Alternatively you can fuel up in Wick itself.

Driving around Wick Airport

The roads around Wick Airport are small. The A9 (the 'spine of Scotland', which connects John O'Groats to Falkirk in the Central Belt) is about 25 minutes drive to the west. We recommend choosing a car hire package that includes a sat-nav system: this will make it more difficult to get lost on those small country roads.
