Petrol stations near Rijeka Airport

There's a Tifon gas station on the mainland, about seven minutes drive north of the airport. The nearest airport on Krk is the Adria Petrol gas station, about 15 minutes south near the town of Malinska.
Driving around Rijeka Airport
The roads outside the airport are fairly small. The D102 is the nearest major road to the airport, and you'll find yourself on it pretty soon after leaving the car rental area. Head south to Baska, or go north to reach the Croatian mainland. Once you reach the mainland you'll be able to jump onto the A7 motorway or the D8 dual carriageway.
Getting to your destination

It takes about 25 minutes in light traffic to reach Rijeka from the airport. The airport is on Krk island, so to reach the city you will need to drive across the causeway to the mainland. There's a good range of surface and closed car parks in Rijeka, with 200 spaces reserved for drivers with a disability. Depending on which car park you choose you could pay anywhere from HRK 3 (about 30p) for an hour up to HRK 10 (roughly 95p). As you can see, parking is pretty cheap. We do recommend you choose a hotel with car parking: it'll make your life easier, and might save you a wee bit of cash too.
With its pleasant pebble beach and buzzing atmosphere, Baska is a popular tourist destination. We recommend it to families and people who enjoy a lively resort style holiday.
It takes around 45 minutes in light traffic to reach Baska from Rijeka Airport. You'll be treated to some stunning and dramatic scenery on the drive south; just remember to keep your eyes on the roads and off the mountains. Metered parking is available on street, for around HRK 10 (about 95p) per hour. There are also some car parks which charge around HRK 70 (about £6.70) per day.
This dramatic medieval village is a favourite for history buffs and wine lovers. Try the zlahtina wine, wander through the atmospheric streets, or go for a paddle in the Adriatic.
It takes just under 40 minutes to drive to Vrbnik from Rijeka Airport. There is some car parking spread throughout the town, but again we recommend choosing a hotel with its own private parking area to avoid stress and overspending.
