Depending on your car rental agreement, you may need to hand your car back with a full tank.
There are a few places to fill on Rue des Landes. If you’re approaching the airport from the west, the nearest fuelling station is a Co-Operative. If you’re coming from the east, you can fill your tank at Forest Road Garage. Both are just a few minutes away from Guernsey Airport.
Driving around Guernsey Airport
You don’t need to worry about hitting a busy motorway during rush hour traffic. The roads on Guernsey are small, even around the airport. They can be quite busy, but not too fast: speed limits are just 35mph in the countryside and 25mph in towns and villages.

St Peter Port
Regency buildings, cobbled streets, and verdant gardens make hilly St Peter Port one of Europe’s most attractive port towns.
It takes about 12 minutes to drive to St Peter Port from Guernsey Airport. Parking is free, but you need a blue parking disc to park in some areas of the town. There should already be one in your rental car, so check before leaving the airport. Set the clock to the time and date you arrived: it’s illegal to set the clock to the wrong time, or to reset it without moving your car. Check local signage to find out how long you can park for. Once your time is up you can’t park in the same zone for at least half an hour. Parking is unlimited on Sundays and bank holidays.
This pretty harbour town makes a great base for exploring the north of Guernsey. Great golf courses and beautiful sandy beaches are just a short drive away.
It takes 18 minutes to reach St Sampson from Guernsey Airport. Parking rules are the same as St Peter, with free parking available throughout the town. If you find yourself in a Disc Zone you will need to set your parking disc to the correct time, and leave when you’ve reached the maximum stay.

Vazon is just over ten minutes drive from Guernsey Airport. Parking is free, but there are some Disc Zones.
