This was a family trip. Our room was spacious and fine. Everything was clean. The mattresses were not very comfortable. They weee hard. The pool was great and the staff were very friendly.

The first room smelled like a wet locker room. The next room was clean and the A/C was good. However, the next day we were out of our room from 10 am to 530 pm and expected the room to have been cleaned. It wasn’t. I called the front desk from the room phone twice and the person couldn’t hear me at all - which meant the phone didn’t work. Had to go down to the front desk and the gentleman couldn’t tell me why housekeeping didn’t clean the room nor did he offer to send someone. He gave me some towels but didn’t seem in the least bit interested in rectifying the issue.
Additionally, the hotel is undergoing renovations/construction which we were never told about on booking through Expedia nor by the hotel via email or at check in.
I’ve stayed at dozens of Hampton Inns over the years and have never seen one so run down and poorly run.

This location should be simply closed up. It needs a complete overhaul.
The room was dirty; the furniture old, moldy, and ripped; and the staff unhelpful.
There was banging on the floor above us, which sounded as if workers were placing new surfacing. I was trying to take a nap after a long day, but unable to sleep because to tapping and banging !
This is one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed. I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION.

We wanted an overnight stay so as not to travel back to Long Island from upstate and also because it was our 51st Wedding Anniversary. In addition, we were going to Middletown the next day, June 1, 2026.
This hotel was perfect in location and comfort.
Accommodating and polite staff, clean and super comfortable bed, we slept very well. Satisfying breakfast especially the coffee.
So we’d stay again and recommend It as well.
