Wedding at Vanderkamp
Some places are beautiful, but every once in a while you find a place that changes you. Vanderkamp is one of those places.
From the moment you drive onto the property, an overwhelming sense of peace washes over you. The lake, the trees, the quiet beauty of nature, it’s truly the most magical place we’ve ever been. It created the perfect setting for our wedding weekend, and somehow still exceeded every expectation we had.
What truly makes Vanderkamp special, though, is the people. Every single staff member made us feel like family. Aileen is an incredible manager who genuinely cares about every couple and every guest. The cleaning staff is amazing! The chef prepared amazing food, the bartenders kept everyone smiling, and we even had the opportunity to spend time talking with the wonderful owners. Their kindness, hospitality, and passion for this place shine through in everything they do.
Having our family and friends stay on the property all weekend made the experience so much more meaningful. From the beautiful cabins and peaceful lake to the hiking trails, bonfires, kayaking, and all the little places to relax and enjoy nature, there was something for everyone. Instead of feeling like a venue where everyone comes and goes, it felt like a destination where our loved ones could truly slow down, connect, and create memories together.
By the end of the weekend, it wasn’t just us who had fallen in love with Vanderkamp, our entire family did. Everyone kept saying how special this place is and how they couldn’t wait to come back.
Vanderkamp gave us so much more than the wedding of our dreams. It gave us a place filled with peace, joy, love, and memories that we’ll cherish for the rest of our lives. This isn’t just a wedding venue to us anymore, it feels like home.

Peace, Beauty, and Nature
I have traveled to many places around the world, but Vanderkamp is, without question, one of the most special places I have ever experienced. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered.
Our cabin was beautiful, warm, and impeccably designed. Every piece felt intentionally chosen, creating a space that was both luxurious and incredibly inviting. From the perfectly prepared fireplace and kindling to the outdoor fire pit already stacked with wood, everything was ready for us to simply relax and enjoy.
The grounds are absolutely breathtaking. One of my favorite memories was finding two chairs nestled on a moss-covered hillside overlooking the lake. It was the perfect place to watch the sunset and later sit beneath the stars. Those thoughtful touches made the experience unforgettable.
During our stay, my boyfriend and I enjoyed the spa, gym, and ice bath, all of which were exceptional. My family came to visit, and watching the children swim in the lake, kayak, canoe, paddleboard, ride bikes, hike the trails, and simply be kids immersed in nature was priceless. We spent evenings around the fire laughing, singing, and playing games. Those are memories we'll treasure forever.
I also loved the convenience of the on-site market. Having quality food and meals available without needing to leave the property made the stay even more relaxing. The event spaces are stunning, the staff was genuinely warm and welcoming, and despite the beauty of the property, it never felt crowded. We often felt as though we had the entire place to ourselves.
Vanderkamp is much more than a place to stay. It is a place to reconnect with nature, with family, and with yourself. It has earned a permanent place in my heart, and I cannot wait to return. Perfect Venue for a Business Retreat

This is a beautiful glamping opportunity with great amenities and comforts and close proximity to the Fingerlakes, Adirondacks, Alexandria Bay, and many other beautiful sites across upstate NY.

We had an amazing stay and can't wait to come back! The cabin was absolutely beautiful—spotlessly clean, cozy, and surrounded by peaceful forest views. Having lake access made our stay even more special, whether it was relaxing by the water or taking in the quiet scenery.
