Warm welcome and great rooms.
We stayed here on Wednesday night for the 2nd time. This time we were travelling with our adult daughter and we were offered a great family room with 2 private bedroom areas and a shared bathroom. It was very spacious and perfect for our needs.
We received a very warm welcome from Maria the friendly host. The hotel is very beautiful and elegantly furnished. There is a swimming pool and an honesty bar for the convenience of guests. There is lot of nicely furnished outside space for guests to use and we were able to sit outside and enjoy a bottle of wine at night when we returned to the hotel after dinner.
Maria served a lovely breakfast in the morning featuring local produce.
We will definitely return in the future.

Not in the busy summer months
Hotel is a beautiful property where hygiene is of paramount importance.
But none of the recommendations are correct, at least in August.
The pool is nothing more than a broken Jacuzzi. Parking is a drama, the housekeeper gave us her parking space but gives it to another with the same ease. And then you have to walk for at least 15 minutes and even then you have to be lucky. And then breakfast, we always see that as a party in the holiday but every day simple slices of bread that are put in the toaster unsolicited, only plus the fresh fruit, because no sweets all some cheese and cold cuts. This could be much better. It will be good, but not in the busy summer months when bar ed. is also closed.

Although it’s a beautifully renovated building in the residential part of the old town of Velez-Málaga, the photos are somewhat misleading. Pool is a jacuzzi that is no longer functioning. Ground floor rooms are dark, with no views and portable air conditioning units. There was no wifi in our room—only in the common areas. Parking can be difficult.

Super nice boutique hotel, with family feel.
Very nice boutique hotel. Close to, or even in, the old Vélez, and close to the contemporary center, all within walking distance. Both the owners and the manager Maria are very nice and helpful. The room was immaculately clean, with comfortable beds, and excellent housekeeping. We were there at the end of February, and the weather was not the best, so we could not take advantage of the lovely lounge in the house atrium. On the top floor there are sunbeds and a dip-in pool, with nice views of the city. (However, no water in the pool in February, which is completely understandable.)
The manager Maria speaks at least both English and French, in addition to Spanish.
The small size of the hotel allows you to talk to other guests at the excellent breakfast. The hotel is more intimate than anonymous.
No dinner at the hotel, but nearby is a brilliant restaurant, and Maria arranges a table reservation there.
Will gladly return to the hotel.

Nice authentic hotel in the center
Nice cozy hotel with 9 rooms in the old part of Velez-Malaga. Parking is a hassle so you have to prepare yourself to walk for about 10 minutes. The rooms are fine and the hotel looks cozy. Maria runs the hotel and provides breakfast every day. The breakfast is a bit monotonous, but it was fine for us. She always causes a stir with her cheerfulness. There is no refrigerator in your room, so keep that in mind. The rooms are cleaned daily and towels and sheets are changed regularly. There are already a number of nice and good restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The first at less than 200 meters. The city is undergoing quite an overhaul and will probably become very beautiful. Now it was messy because they were working in many streets. The swimming pool on the top floor does not bubble, but you can jump in for a while. Almost no one actually did that. You can reach the lovely beaches of Torre del Mar within 10 minutes. Don't expect luxurious shopping streets in Velez-Malaga, but a 5-minute drive away you will find a beautiful shopping mall with many shops just outside the city. Conclusion: nice hotel, and you won't easily find small children here.
