Charming B&B

What a wonderful find. I stayed here with my husband for 4 nights as part of our 3 week touring motorcycle holiday around Andalucia and we were very impressed by Villa Madnis. Our hosts were lovely, friendly, welcoming and cared very much for us, clearly they love what they do and it shows. The villa has a lovely covered pool perfect for hot sunny days, with sun loungers and a small garden. There is a large terrace where breakfast is served on sunny mornings, which are a delight including of course true orange juice, homemade pastries, preserves, coffee or tea each breakfast different, Evelyn and Philippe are keen to please. Evening meal is delicious homemade and perfect. There is a large lounge with big comfy sofas, tv, mini bar (reasonably priced) and excercise machine if you wish to use, and for the winter a big fire. Our room was spotlessly clean with a comfy bed and lovely bedding, a large bathroom and spacious shower, all cleaned daily and towels fresh and clean. We had use of a garage for our motorcycle which was brilliant. The local village Padul is close by (too far to walk) provides everything you need if you don't want to go far in the evening, some good restaurants and cafes, our tapas where sometimes only a Euro when ordered with a drink. Evelyne and Philippe were happy to suggest places to visit and show us on our map good scenic routes for our motorcycle (all roads were very good) the Alpujarras is stunning. The Alhambra is amazing and a must see, best to buy tickets in advance. I can not recommend this B&B highly enough it's a truly lovely place to stay. Thank you Evelyne and Philippe we hope one day to return.

Outstanding Hospitality

We stayed at Villa Madnis for three nights and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts Evelyne and Philippe. The villa is beautiful, our room had a comfy bed, the en suite was spotlessly clean and we very much enjoyed the pool, garden and terrace. A lovely breakfast was provided each morning, with fresh fruit and Evelyne's home made pastries were amazing! There is a lounge provided with a mini bar, reasonably priced, so beer, wine and soft drinks available. Our hosts provided a map of Granada and pointed out places to see and restaurants and even phoned and booked us a table for Sunday lunch.
A car is recommended. We did go into Granada on the bus, good service, but taxi back was €30. A visit to The Alhambra palace is a must see.
We would recommend a stay at Villa Madnis to family and friends. Very good value for money. Thank you Evelyne and Philippe.

Quiet, comfortable B&B with easy access to Granada

Evelyne and Philippe are extremely gracious and welcoming hosts. Lovely home in a safe and quiet neighbourhood within easy reach of Granada. Avoid the difficulties of driving to Granada by walking to the nearby bus stop and taking the inexpensive and fast public bus into the centre of Granada. The bed is super comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful! We highly recommend a stay here.

More than you could expect

We visited the Villa Madnis during four nights in April 2015 to visit Granada on our trip through Andalusia. We can highly recommend this B&B: the accomodation is very good with your own bathroom offering a huge shower. But apart from that Philippe and Evelyne are charming hosts, who really take care of their guests. They gave us lots of helpful advice about how to discover Granada and the nearby Alpujarras. And finally the second B in B&B: Evelyne tries to surprise her guests each morning anew with exotic fruit, homemade cakes and of course fresh orange juice...
Thank you both once more and we really hope to come back one day,
Eike and Thomas from Frankfurt, Germany

LOVELY B and B

Our family stayed with Evelyne and Phillipe in May, 2014. They have a lovely home and are very pleasant and helpful to identify places to go (and help with directions). Evelyne bakes delicious cakes and serves her homemade fig jam with breakfast every am. Padul is approximately 30 minutes away from Granada so it is best to rent a car when you stay here. They are very neat so 20-something boys may not be the ideal houseguests, but our hosts tolerated them well.
