Cozy and family friendly campsite/hotel in a spectacular location!! What to say about the service, quality, price and attention! A 10 for Luismi, Unai, Eva Maria, Nuria and the others! A pleasure!!

Fabulous return visit

We returned to Hotel Playa la Arena for our 3rd visit at the end of January. As always the staff are incredibly helpful and charming and nothing is ever too much trouble. We booked the Platinum deluxe package this holiday and loved the infinity pool and the quality and variety of the food, snacks and drinks available in the pool bar.Our room on the 8th floor was lovely with a fabulous view. Also the various seating areas inside and on the outside terrace provides so much variety to enjoy a quiet drink before and after dinner. There is always plenty of delicious fresh food to choose from in the buffet but a small suggestion would be to offer more spicy dishes. We will certainly be returning next year for another fabulous holiday at Hotel Playa La Arena !

Nice hotel

Very nice hotel. The public areas are stunning, particularly the reception, bar and outdoor pool areas. The views are really good.
The rooms are very nice but the corridors leading to the rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment, they are quite shabby.
The food is what you'd expect of a 4 star all inclusive hotel. Some things never taste as good as in England .... tea, all elements of the cooked breakfast. Quality of the food could be improved a bit. They need to make teapots available at breakfast to avoid long queues at the drinks machines. On arrival at the restaurant there were often very few available tables set with cutlery. The A la Carte dining in the outdoor pool bar was disappointing due to a lack of expected presentation.
Staff were very friendly and it was easy to find sun loungers in a good location. The evening entertainment was good and the hotel entertainment team work very hard.

Not very well managed

I stayed here at the start of January
First night one resident got arrested for me drunk (which the hotel served )
Then asked if I could move rooms as I’m not good with heights from the 7th floor
Was offered the 8th floor as my option
One french man was openly filming people around the pool
I challenged the hotel management as was told it was his phone
Ramos the hotel manager is not approachable unless you speak fluent Spanish
I’d never stay here again
Put me off ever going abroad

Amazing service and food, helpful staff

I visited this hotel 20-28 December i was extremely happy with the helpfulness of the staff and being disabled i was happy with how they had no bother going out of their way for me to make sure i was always ok. i thoroughly enjoyed my stay the food was out of this world and the room was spotless and had a beautiful view. The christmas decorations were outstnading they went above and beyond to make this a truly memorable experience for their guests.
