I would return to Hotel Upper Diagonal without hesitation and recommend it to any friends traveling to Barcelona. My room was spacious and well appointed with a lovely relaxing view of a pool, trees and the surrounding mountains. Purified water kept me hydrated, my AC worked perfectly, the towels were the fluffiest I've encountered, and the price point was the envy of my fellow travelers who stayed elsewhere in the city. The hotel was a short walk to beautiful parks, Gaudi architecture, excellent restaurants, a high end shopping mall, and public transportation. I did not eat at the hotel but the restaurant was usually populated with happy groups so I imagine it was up to the neighborhood standards. A gem travelers should not overlook!

Lovely hotel. Clean, modern rooms with nice amenities and a quiet, relaxed environment overall. I would recommend it. The only super small criticisms would be that the staff could be a little bit friendlier and the air con seems to be set at a limit so I was quite hot in August & couldn’t get it below 16C. I would go back though!

It is small cozy hotel. Very helpful staff and has an attached restaurant. Very close to local universities and hop-on-hop off bus tour stop. Other nearby dining options are limited. Closer to airport so can get to airport in 20 mins
