Very good hotel, great price

Location is perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our 3 beds room was large and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was also clean and large. We left the hotel on both mornings that we stayed there before 7am when dining room opens. Instead, they prepared us packed breakfast. A great hotel and a low price for the rooms made it even better.

Better not.

I do not understand the great reviews at all. Just arrived and would prefer to walk right back out. I am very disappointed with my room. Old, dirty carpet that you wouldn't even dare to step on with socks. Water kettle but no cup. Hair knot on the sugar packet. The hotel has seen better days. I am curious about breakfast tomorrow.

AWFUL!!!!

This was a truly awful hotel. Mum and I arrived at approx 8pm. Check in was easy.
Upon arrival of the room it felt like a complete sweat box. It was so hot. I had to open all the windows wide and we had to leave them open all night due to no aircon. I switched on the fan which was very small but it didn't matter as it didn't work anyway!!! To get the kettle to work we had to hold the button down!!! I paid £345 for 4 nights B&B for a twin room but left after the first night (without breakfast as we had a trip booked for early morning pick up) as it was so loud down on the streets with the windows open neither of us got a wink of sleep.
On checking out the person on reception never asked if everything was ok just let us go 3 days early! I since emailed the hotel through booking.com and received not even an acknowledgement let alone and apology or refund. Awful place!

This hotel was situated in an ideal location near many local amenities
Staff very helpful.

The hotel is located in a fantastic area with coffee shops, resturants, bars in every street from the hotel, the night life is very vibrant and prices are much cheaper than in the old town which is 25 minute walk.
The hotel is very clean, room is cleaned everyday, the breafast and service were on point.
I feel the rooms could be updated to acmodern feel howver this is a very minor negative
Would highly recommend due to the location.
