GREAT STAY!! Newly renovated rooms!

WOW! Scandic Hotels have gained a new guest! At first I was skeptical after reading the reviews and seeing photos of how the hotel was a little old. But I am glad I risked it all and booked this location. Im a Marriott elite girly so the best way to describe this hotel is equivalent to Moxy, but better and spacious. As I pulled up to the hotel I notice there was construction going on which in my opinion I didn’t mind. While checking in at the front desk the lady apologized about the construction and in the process of doing so, she explained that I have a great room on the 3rd floor as all rooms on that floor have been renovated. It was music to my ears. I was eager to see this newly constructed room. The room was clean and spacious. Great AC, hot water and water pressure. The beds felt like I was sleeping on a cloud! Customer service at this hotel was beyond spectacular and super friendly! I would 100% stay here again.

Disappointing

Left my electric toothbrush in the bathroom, called the same day after check out and sent emails - but they claim it wasn’t in the room…

Nice hotel stay

Good and quiet location. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was approved, but has eaten better at other Scandic. Nice room.

Good, have your own transport means to get to Stavanger.

The hotel is located about 13 min by car, on the motorway, outside Stavanger, in an industrial area! There are no restaurants, or anything nice around the hotel. Luckily we had a car and drove into Stavanger. A Bolt cost about 400 nok, one way!

Good hotel far from the center

It is located about 20km from the center and the building has several floors.
The reception staff is friendly and efficient.
It has several elevators, which is sufficient.
The hallways are well-lit and the rooms are well-identified.
The room for single use is about 20m2 and has a comfortable, classic layout. The 2 beds were 0.9m, as comfortable as the pillows. Regarding soundproofing, nothing could be heard from the outside, but it could be heard from the hallway. The lighting was somewhat irregular and it could not be left dark because the curtains were not completely opaque. The furniture was more or less in good condition. The TV was about 55" and had only a dozen local channels. There was air conditioning but it could not be adjusted.
The bathroom was comfortable, had a shower, and its lighting was scarce. The faucets worked correctly and the towels were pleasant, although there was no bath mat.
Breakfast and dinner were buffet-style and were decent.
In summary, a good hotel in this category but far from the center.
