Great Visit

Stayed here when attending 2026 Grand Prix. Great modern hotel, room was very comfy and has everything you need. Overamstel is a nice location away from the centre easily accessed via the metro which is a few minutes walk from the hotel.

Clean and beautiful but a bit far from the center

The hotel is beautiful and clean. The staff is kind. They do not accept cash, everything is paid for with a card. The restaurant, from what I could see from the menu, seemed quite expensive to me and therefore I did not use it and there are no restaurants nearby. The hotel is further away than I thought from the subway station to go to the center.

The hotel does not match its star rating or the high score

Unfortunately, the hotel did not try to help with any of our requests.
1 When booking, I requested a room on a high floor. The hotel seemed half empty, but we were given a room on a very low floor.
2 I also requested a quiet room. Instead, a group of young people was placed in the two rooms next to us. They were very noisy throughout the night. I went to reception and asked for help, but nothing was done. It was very difficult to sleep.
3 The hotel is advertised as being only 2 minutes from the metro, but the metro was not operating during our stay. I asked if it was possible to cancel the booking because of this, but the hotel refused.
4 The beds were terrible. There were two separate beds pushed together, and they kept moving apart during the night. We asked for a room with one proper double bed, but the hotel refused unless we paid extra.
5 The phone in the room did not work, so we had to go to reception every time we needed something.
6 The Wi-Fi was very poor and sometimes did not work at all.
7 The towels were not changed during room cleaning.
8 There were no slippers in the room.
9 At check-out, the staff asked how our stay was. I told them about the problems we had, but they simply ignored my feedback.
Overall, the hotel did not meet our expectations, and the service was very disappointing. It definitely does not match its star rating or the high score

Always happy

Top address. Room very nice . We had from the 18th. Stock a super view over Amsterdam. Very friendly and pre-emptive staff at reception.
Merely the bath towels in the room of our son and his girlfriend were not quite clean.

Too bad.

It was really not a nice stay. The beds were awful. We had barely slept and left for breakfast immediately around 6am. You ask for help 10 times in the app and no one comes. Extra pillow neither
