Excellent location for the opera!

I chose this hotel for its location, the ease of getting there in the evening from the railway station and for getting to the National Opera. It is situated on a famous square that is very busy in the evenings. I had wondered why there were earplugs left by the bed, but then realised why later on the Saturday night... there is quite a lot of street activity until the early hours of the morning, but to be honest, it did not really bother me. It might depend on how light a sleeper you are.
The hotel is well appointed, nice size rooms, bathrooms etc. At that time the breakfast room was being refurbished so we were invited to breakfast at the hotel opposite which is of a higher grade. The breakfast was amazing.
I would certainly recommend this hotel for a weekend stay as the location and ease of getting around means you can make the most of your time.

Nice Hotel

Excellent, i recommend the hotel. If you don’t request room cleaning, you will receive 2 free drinks(beer, wine, etc.) each day.

Great breakfast. Noisy. Busy street. May need ear plugs to help to sleep. Tram cars next to the hotel, good for transportation around Amsterdam. AC in the hotel.
