Best Holiday ever!

Fantastic! Tofo is amazing and Casa Malcampo was great for us. We were a group of 15 people and it worked perfectly. Even though the main beach was ‘closed’ Eddie helped with lots of other stuff to do and alternatives - what fun! Plus the complex has a pool. Big bonus. The view from the 12 sleeper balcony over breaking waves is mesmerising and great for sundowners. The biggest bonus was the manager Eddie - super helpful, always on standby, from pre shopping to finding a car mechanic! Thank you it was great!

Very Unprofessional and Unreliable Host

I had a very disappointing experience with this accommodation.
I made a reservation at Malcampo and paid in full at the time of booking. Two days before my stay, I contacted the owner, who then informed me that the apartment was actually not available. Until that moment, I had never been contacted or informed of any issue with my reservation.
When I asked for a refund, the owner was not willing to help and eventually stopped replying to my messages altogether. If it were up to him, I would have been left without accommodation and without my money.
This situation shows a serious lack of professionalism and competence. I would not recommend this place based on my experience.

Terribly unhygienic, not maintained, not fit for occupation

The 12 sleeper we were in was poorly maintained and not fit for occupation. It did not meet the basic standard of hygiene Many windows could not close, some with catches missing. Two toilets were leaking sewerage, we could not use the upstairs en suite toilet as it was leaking through the floor onto the lower level which meant a toilet trip during the night meant having to go downstairs.
The plastic shower curtains were filthy with mold on the top and bottom. The mosquito nets around the beds were disgusting, they were not washed in ages and had old bloodstains of mosquitoes and other insects which were squashed on it. Offering a place in this state was just disrespectful. Shameful

A wonderful stay at Tofinho

A very nice place to stay. Nice views of the beach, the rooms are comfortable and the host Eddie is really nice and helpful. There are 2 different beaches at a walking distance of the Lodge and also a nice restaurant which makes its location very convenient.

Casa Malcampo

I can highly recommend Casa Malcampo for anyone that is planning a trip to Tofo. The accommodation was really lovely and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. All rooms had fans and mosquito nets. The pool and outside area is stunning and perfect for a braai on a hot day. The place is a short walk away from the beach and shops. There is also free WIFI at the place which is an added bonus. Eddie is a fantastic host who goes above and beyond for his guests! Couldn’t have asked for anything better. Will definitely be coming back. Many thanks for a great stay!
