Great Stay in Melaka, Convenient and Comfortable
I had a very pleasant stay at Ibis Melaka. The hotel is in a very convenient location, within walking distance to many tourist attractions, which makes it easy to explore the city.
The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was great with a good variety of options. The service from the team was also friendly and welcoming throughout the stay.
Overall, it is definitely good value for money and a great choice when visiting Melaka. I would be happy to stay here again.

Worst experience ever
Regretted that I booked 3 nights as there are better options. Quick check in, got a room with pool view. Strong WiFi, nice pool and gym but that’s it.
Whole floor got power outage in the morning around 8am so air conditioning and no power supply.
Second night air conditioning stopped working just past midnight. Tried switching on a few times and it worked for 30 minutes or so each time. Technician came to claim that it was just a setting issue and claimed to have fixed it which again wasn’t the case. Called him for a second time and he claimed that this time “working now”. Of course it didn’t work. Third time another technician came to tell it’s the issue with the external compressor that he couldn’t fix! So had to stayed in the sauna like room without proper rest as hotel claimed to be full house.
Went down to speak to the hotel manager who was kind to offer a drinks which I refused to accept. Finally got moved to another room facing a wall for the third night. Woke up around 01:30 because of noise that lasted for about an hour. Obviously they were fixing something in other rooms ignoring other guests resting?! Called the front desk but no one answered.
This is definitely NOT a hotel I would ever want to return or recommend it anyone.

Nice View"? Only If You Like Staring at Neighboring Laundry
We arrived two hours early fully understanding we’d have to wait until the 3 PM check-in, but they assured us the earliest possible room would be ready at 2:30 PM. Instead, 2:30 PM arrived and we were left sitting there while a steady stream of guests who arrived long after us were checked in and sent up to their rooms. Being told housekeeping was "catching up" is a completely unbelievable excuse when literally everyone else entering the lobby is being accommodated ahead of you.
When they finally handed over the keys, they smugly announced they were giving us a 4th-floor room with a "nice view" as if they were doing us a massive favor. That "nice view" turned out to be the laundry hanging outside the adjacent building. From line-jumping other guests to blatantly lying about the room quality, this stay was an absolute disaster. I am beyond furious and would strongly advise anyone to stay away.

Good hotel for the Melakka trip.
Great hotel located in a central position to the city center. Everything is easy to reach on foot. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean, modernly furnished, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet also left nothing to be desired – there was a large selection and everything was fresh. We can absolutely recommend the hotel.

Check in was very easy, despite a short trip it was an excellent base for exploring Melaka.
