Great location in Rome

For an event in Rome, we booked a family suite at Hotel Smeraldo, which was located on the 1st floor of the annex. Although the 2 single beds of one of the 2 bedrooms were not wide, the suite was large, had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and a living room. It was therefore and convenient for 4 adults, especially the 2 bathrooms, with in a good breakfast and its real ristretto as found only in Italy.
In addition, the hotel has the advantage of being well placed, just a few steps from Place Navona, the Pantheon, the Capitol and the Roman Forum.
Finally, the staff of the hotel was friendly and knew how to respond to our requests.
So I can only recommend the hotel Smeraldo

Top notch experience

My new go-to Rome hotel. Comfortable, clean, ideal location, great breakfast and the best service. With two rooms for my friend group, we stayed in both the annex across the street and main hotel with equally good experiences. You’re right next to the bakery and can skip the line by buying when they open (and fyi the hotel gets a bread and croissant delivery for the breakfast service)
Most of all, it’s the service that sets the apart. Leonardo (and the overall team) was such a help when our return flight was canceled and we needed to come back for one more night. He managed to get us the same rooms and arrange a taxi for the next day and set a dinner reservation, he made it seamless in what was a stressful moment after the airport. Also (at least for the annex) our room was quiet when the window was closed, even when it’s a crowd on the street.
Worth the price many times over for the service location and experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Smeraldo. The location is excellent, you can walk to all the important sights. There was also a convenience store, a gym, and restaurants close nearby. The hotel is well kept and our room was cleaned every day. Breakfast is a buffet with the usual things, but they also have a "morning coffee bar" where you can request different types of coffees or teas. The people at the reception were very helpful and answered any questions we had. Overall, well worth the money and I would stay here again!

Hotel Smeraldo – The Hidden Gem I Almost Don't Want to Share!

I absolutely loved every second of my stay here, and part of me wants to keep this place a secret but it's too good not to rave about. This hotel completely made our Rome trip incredible.
The staff were incredibly nice from start to finish. A special shoutout to Geneva for being so welcoming, and also to the overnight gentleman (sorry I didn't catch his name!) who helped my husband and me with an AC issue late at nigh the was a lifesaver.
Location is a huge win walkable to everything, and you're surrounded by the best of Rome. The hotel itself is spotless and smells wonderfully fresh. They offer complimentary guest water, which is such a thoughtful touch, and the breakfast was outstanding featuring Roscioli bread that alone is worth waking up for.
Clean, comfortable, friendly, and perfectly situated I would absolutely stay here again if I return to Rome. Do yourself a favor and book this gem before everyone finds out about it!

Great location in Rome

The location was absolutely fantastic! The room was clean and comfortable but we were disappointed that we were in the secondary building. This wasn't obvious when we booked. Otherwise, everything was good.
