Fabulous city center location

Staff was so friendly and accommodating! Location is primo… just 2 minutes straight down the street to the Colosseum! Located in a courtyard with lemon granita, gelato, a bakery and three restaurants that offer good cocktails and yummy seafood, pizza and pastas.

A quiet place in the middle of the mess of Rome

The location is perfect: the coliseum at the bottom of the street about 300m, the Fontana di Trevi 10 minutes walk. It is located in a picturesque square, in an area with countless restaurants and shops. During the night, it is a very quiet area. To highlight, the sympathy of the staff who did everything to make our experience memorable. And the last day, as we left before breakfast time, even a small box offered us for breakfast. Daily cleaning of the rooms with nothing to point to.

Perfect spot in Rome

Stayed at the Casa Santa Sofia for 5 days and it was such a great stay. The room was simple and comfortable as I spent most time in the foyer and outside seeing the sights. The design of the foyer and public spaces was gorgeous (maybe a little more effort in making the room I stayed in more in line with the overall design aesthetic). Staff were super helpful and kind and the plaza was beautiful and a short walk to everything. Check out the small boutiques and stores around the hotel, there are some beautiful shopping places. Well worth the stay and will revisit this area again very soon.

Nice visit to Rome

I recently stayed at Casa Santa Sofia in Rome and had a pleasant overall experience.
The hotel is clean, quiet, and comfortable, with a lovely atmosphere. Its biggest advantage is the excellent location in the heart of the Monti district, one of Rome's most charming and vibrant neighborhoods. Many of the city's main attractions, restaurants, cafés, and shops are within walking distance. It is also very close to the Colosseum, which made sightseeing especially convenient.
The front square of the hotel, Piazza della Madonna dei Monti, is always full of tourists gathered around the Fontana della Madonna dei Monti.
The breakfast was delicious and offered a good variety of fresh options. I would also like to thank the reception team, who were always friendly, professional, and very helpful throughout my stay.
The only aspect that I really did not like was the requirement to pay a €100 security deposit upon check-in, which is refunded at check-out. Although I understand the hotel's policy, I found it unnecessary and inconvenient, especially since this is not a common practice in many hotels.
Overall, Casa Santa Sofia is a good choice for anyone looking for a peaceful stay in an excellent location while exploring Rome.

Perfect for solo traveller

A safe friendly hotel 10 min walk from Metro & Collusium the staff are amazing they helped me with paperwork and even visited the pharmacy for me to collect medication after a hospital visit.
