Cant wait to go back.
Well yesterday me an my friend took a trip to the Round Tower Hotel in Ardmore for lunch, i did book it before hand, and it did not disappoint. It really is like visiting a stately home, the decor in the dining room is so fantastic, it really has to be seen. I had the fish and oh my Lord was it good,crispy batter cooked to perfection. I had mash with mine instead of fries, mash was excellent. Mushy peas the presentation was 100%. The service was just out on its own, friendly, attentive waitress, so chatty. A brilliant choice for a Sunday lunch.

Excellent dining experience
First time to the area as invited to a reunion taking place within the hotel and while I did not avail of their accommodation, I have to commend this hotel for it's excellent hospitality and quality dining experience.
All of our party enjoyed generous portions, fresh quality ingredients and a level of care that just made for a memorable evening. Well done to all involved and I look forward to returning to this hidden gem.

Disappoint Stay.
Hotel has good parking and adjacent to Ardmore Village. Room we had was really small- like a cell, had to shuffle rounf one side of the small double bed. but clean- bathroom really tiny. Breakfast was good - when it eventually arrived after a long waits. Dinner one night was sort of sad- cauliflower 3 ways - 2 parts were fine, the third was burnt to a crisp and could not eat it. Chef left cauli under the grill or in the over too long. It was black. Service was really slow. There is a very auster atmospher throughout this hotel- no colour in planting externally or colour internally at all. All very functional. Bar area was dismal- we werent encouraged to sit there. Looked miserable. In general young staff put on a friendly face but, but despite the fact we were residents they were`nt too bothered. Owner seemed not bothered about guests - just chatting to his local pals in the bar. Had to bring up our own bags- I have mobility issues and stairs were really steep. It was a convent in the past - still has that feeling - grim! No lift . I could not recommend this hotel .

As owners and a family that micromanages this hotel day in, day out - your review above would absolutely take the wind out of ones sails....especially after a very busy season.
Our staff work very hard to keep everyone happy.
The first thing we would say is if you read any of our reviews here on this forum or on other booking forums - you appear to be a complete outlier so we're wondering is the problem actually with you?
We don't overclaim on anything at our hotel, we're a small 10 bedroomed, very busy, village hotel serving our guests & community.
As you are so tech savy hiding behind your keyboard (well, we would question your spelling & grammar!) did you not do your research before booking your stay? Our hotel was not for you. We're not sure where would suit you to be honest.
It's strange, but we're always complimented on the fact that as a family we're ever present at the hotel so helping with bags for example would have been second nature to us if you had asked.
Finally, our core building dates back to the 1920s, it's a protected historic building, we're not changing it any time soon and we're very proud it.

I can’t say enough about this hotel. Staff were amazing, food was excellent and great value for money, hotel is lovely. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, cosy, good for value break

Perfect Hotel - Incredible Hospitality
We managed to get a very last minute booking yesterday. The owner was incredibly kind and let us book a family room as the weather was awful. Cleanliness 10/10
Food 10/10.. Hospitality if I could give it an 11/10 I would..
