Modern and full of life
Brand new complex of Ibis & TRIBE hotels in a multi purpose building just a stone throw from the bus station and stadium. Location was perfect for me since I was traveling by regional bus. 15 minutes to the city centre by tube and 45 minutes walk. There is a tram stop just at the front door. I booked Ibis but i got lucky to be upgraded to TRIBE great room, very comfy bed with Nespresso machine and amazing bathroom amenities . There are a water refilling station at every floor. Public areas are vibrant and inviting. Last but not least the girls at the reception are THE BEST. I have interacted with few upon check in & out and they were super friendly and helpful. In summary great spot in Budapest with GREAT VALUE for money.

Good hotel next to the mvm dome
Stayed here as it was close to the mvm dome the staff were lovely the food was good and the room was clean with a comfortable bed all in all a good stay.

Does the business if you need to get in and out of the city - next to the tram stop too
Stayed in the hotel with my wife over the last week when we were staying in the city. It's sited a short walk from the train station and close to the tram network. There is a football stadium next door as well as a concert arena.
The rooms very very spacious and the showers worked well. When I spoke to the staff about forgetting my toothbrush they found me another one. The beds were high off the ground as the mattresses are quite thick, but that adds to the comfort. Little noise from outside even though we were near a main road and a tram stop. There is internet access in the hotel and there were no difficulties with it.
We stayed at the hotel for a meal one night in the restaurant on the ground floor. Although the restaurant is very lovely, the food was merely warm and the pasts was well over cooked. The breakfasts however, were very good with all the usual items on the agenda. If there is one snag it is that there are not many restaurants near. If you leave the hotel entrance and immediate turn right, past the entrance to the football stadium, there is a lovely restaurant down the road. If I can remember, it's either Chinese or Vietnamese and it's on the main road. Really lovely place. Else. you might have to take a ride into the city to find something. When we got used to the tram system we felt more confident about taking the tram into the city, getting something to eat and later getting the tram back.
In summary, the place it ok, not the best in the city, but who is really bothered about that. Once you get your bearings it really is an easy place to get in and out of the city from

Young establishment. Not a central location. Earlier check in costed 40 euro. Street-facing side is not well insulated - woke up by trams a few times. Dark them on level 7 made the dust/fluff more visible. Room service was almost perfect every day.

Modern Hotel, Mixed Service
TRIBE Budapest is in a good location, close to the underground, and it takes around 30 minutes to get into the city centre. I would recommend getting the day pass, which worked out at about £13.
The hotel itself is modern and looks good, but there were a few issues during our stay. The lifts were out of order every single day, which became frustrating very quickly. Our room smelled of smoke when we arrived and was also very hot. I am not sure whether the air conditioning is set on a timer or turned off by housekeeping when they clean, but after being out for the day and coming back during a warm weekend, the room was uncomfortable. There are also no windows to open for ventilation.
The room was tidied every day, which was good, but housekeeping removed our bottles twice even though they were not in the bin. That was annoying, especially as the hotel has water fountains but does not provide cups.
The shower was good, with a decent range of soap and shampoo, and the beds were comfortable enough. Breakfast was also pretty good value for money, although the 24/7 snack bar definitely was not.
The gym is open 24 hours, which is a plus, but some of the weight equipment was broken, so I ended up just using the bench and free weights.
One thing worth noting is that they do not offer room service. I went down to order food from the restaurant and was then charged a 15% service charge despite it being takeaway, after which I still had to carry the food upstairs myself and deal with the broken lifts.
Service was mixed. One member of reception staff was friendly and helpful, but the others were not particularly welcoming.
Overall, it is reasonably good value for money and does the basics well, but do not expect much more than that.
