Spacious suite and fantastic view of the harbor
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the ATLANTIC Hotel Wilhelmshaven and felt extremely comfortable there. Upon arrival, the check-in with Mr. Hagedorn was uncomplicated, quick, and pleasantly friendly. A personal welcome card from the hotel management in the room would have been a nice additional touch and would have given the stay a somewhat more individual feel from the beginning.
We were accommodated in suite 711 on the top floor. The suite is really very generously laid out and offers plenty of space. Particularly impressive is the large, wraparound terrace, from which you have a wonderful view of both the harbor and the city. Especially in the evening and early morning, the view was a real highlight of our stay.
In direct sunlight, however, the terrace heats up significantly. A patio umbrella or some other form of sun protection would therefore be very desirable so that the outdoor area can be used better even in bright sun. In addition, the weeds on the edges of the terrace could be removed when there is an opportunity. These are admittedly rather minor points, but they are still noticeable in a suite of this category.
Of course, you can tell in some places that the suite has already been in use for a few years. The overall impression was nevertheless still very well-maintained, high-quality, and extremely pleasant. We liked the size of the rooms and the layout very much. A special highlight is without a doubt the bathtub with a view of the water.
It was somewhat bothersome, however, that the air conditioning or the technical system was not completely silent even when switched off. The noise was noticeable, especially at night. In our view, it should be checked here whether a technical adjustment is possible so that even noise-sensitive guests can enjoy a truly undisturbed night's sleep.
For the last morning, we had planned an in-room breakfast and attached the corresponding door hanger the evening before. However, breakfast could not begin as planned at first, as the order apparently had not reached the restaurant. Whether the door hanger was possibly removed by another guest or the information was lost within the processes will likely no longer be able to be clarified. After a short phone call, however, the breakfast items were quickly brought to the room. This way, we were able to use the large dining table in the suite one last time at the end of our stay and have breakfast in peace.
The regular breakfast in the restaurant was also of good quality and offered a pleasant selection. Despite the size of the hotel and the corresponding number of guests, everything was distributed surprisingly well, so that a quiet and relaxed breakfast was possible. At no time did it feel hectic or overcrowded.
We also enjoyed dinner at the Harbour View Restaurant very much. The dishes were of high quality, convincing in taste, and attractively presented. The service was extremely friendly, attentive, and pleasantly unobtrusive. Overall, we had a very successful evening here.
The performance of housekeeping was also good overall during our stay. The suite was clean and tidily prepared. One day, however, it was forgotten to replenish an extra roll of toilet paper as well as the cotton swabs. That was not a big problem, but it should ideally not happen during the daily check. To match the beautiful bathtub, the hotel could also consider providing bath salts or a bath additive. That would be a small but very fitting addition.
In our view, the hotel is very well suited for a stay with a dog. In the immediate vicinity, there are sufficient green spaces and opportunities for shorter or longer walks. The area around the hotel is also pleasant. The location is very convenient overall, as you can easily reach both the harbor area and other parts of the city. A bus stop is also located directly in front of the hotel.
The check-out with Ms. Gladis was just as friendly and professional as the check-in. Overall, we found the staff throughout the hotel to be very attentive and helpful.
In summary, it was a very nice stay in an impressively large suite with a fantastic view, good dining, and friendly service. From our perspective, the points mentioned are mostly minor opportunities for improvement and did not significantly affect the positive overall impression. We would visit the ATLANTIC Hotel Wilhelmshaven again during another stay in the region.

Number 1 among upscale hotels in W‘haven.
We now regularly use the hotel for visits to our old hometown. It not only has a top location, but the amenities are also high quality.

The staff is engaged and friendly, the breakfast buffet is plentiful, and the restaurant is good.

The location of the hotel is excellent! Surrounded by the harbour basin and lake landscape! Parking directly at the house! Free parking nearby. Nearby restaurants as well as south beach and downtown within walking distance! Wellness area 1a. Breakfast very good ! Bar well stocked and service customer orientation good! Bistro cuisine! Restaurant in the frame. Upscale house with appropriate facilities and services! Well maintained!!! Always happy again!
