Nice Motel One in Munich

Location is good, you are quickly in the city center. Room very clean. Staff very friendly. For a city break a good hotel.

Up your brekkie game

Not long ago, I was a big fan of this hotel chain because I thought it offered outstanding value for money. I have used Motel One in various countries and have always enjoyed my stays. During my last stay, however, I could not help thinking that standards have slipped a little. For example, compared with other hotel chains, there is no complimentary water (not even a tiny bottle) in the room, let alone tea or coffee. So the first thing I ended up doing was walking to a nearby supermarket to buy water. The safe in the room did not work either, at least when I followed the instructions. Finally, I remembered the breakfast as being quite decent (organic eggs, salmon, etc.). But it no longer impresses; there is no salmon or fried or scrambled eggs, and the cold cuts look rather cheap. I think they need to do better for €17.50 per person.

Great stay in a great location. The only minus was the plumbing in my room. The shower head sprayed water everywhere, but I informed the front desk when I checked out (I only stayed one night) and I’m sure it was promptly fixed.

Nice place but not with small children

The hotel is state-of-the-art and nicely decorated with air conditioning. Mattresses are very good. Room service is very attentive. Team at reception responds on request. Underground parking is bright and spacious.
Booking with child required a direct request at reception. By email and with telephone consultation. We found this super cumbersome, especially since we don't need a cot at all. Pro tip: Co-sleeping is common in Germany. What's really silly is that you get a standard rate underrated, where no early bird discount is granted (with booking.com otherwise without any problems). On the day of arrival, however, a suitable room was first picked up and towels, bed linen supplemented gradually. We have seen this much more straightforwardly elsewhere.

Hotel one campus

They do such a great job with the organization and cleanliness of this hotel. The beds are so so comfortable, and rooms are very quiet. Would happily stay again.
