Quite loud street, no AC so during summer extremely hot rooms. Very helpful staff.
Could use a bit renovation.

Wretched!!!

We stayed there as a family in July. We climbed 7 flights of stairs every day!!! The elevator was constantly broken. The rooms were extremely hot. There was no air conditioning. You couldn't sleep… there was street noise. Of the staff, only Sinan and his brother were helpful. But the others weren't. Especially on check-out day, the receptionist was extremely tense and grumpy. The breakfast was terrible. You can never communicate with the staff. You could get into a fight at any moment... The area around the hotel was not safe. I would never recommend it!!! The hotel urgently needs to improve!!

I have stayed here before 5-6 times; my previous ratings were 3-4 stars. What a shame that it has degraded so much. I won’t be coming back.
The breakfast has become a sad bread-and-cold cuts affair. Gone are the eggs and the hot buffet. By Munich and Bavarian standards, this is a disaster. What a shame, particularly considering that all others hotels at the same price point in the Hbf. area offer that.
The staff is rude and patronising. I arrived at 1pm, so 2 hours early, and even though there were at least 10 rooms clean and ready I was denied check-in unless I paid an early fee. Yes, I know check-in is at 3pm. But when rooms are ready and there aren’t any other customers around waiting, it’s customary to allow check-in without asking for fees.
And, to cap it off, you can’t leave a bag at this hotel anymore when checking out — unless you pay €6. Pay for luggage storage as a hotel customer! Hbf. is 5 minutes away and it costs €4 there.
The management of this hotel made some choices, and these choices means less business. The filthy and disgusting Hbf. area is full of hotels of the exact same kind and all are very competitively priced at the exact same price levels all the time. Good luck to Royal and its new greedy management. I won’t be coming back.

Cheap clean hotel but don’t go during a heat wave.
No air on and very noisy street outside until 3am.
