Comfortable and friendly
Our wedding was celebrated upstairs, throughout the afternoon and evening. There was another wedding on at the same time, based downstairs, and there was no clash of space or noise.
The location is good, being in the fruit-growing region (the next day we bought from a nearby stall strawberries, pears, blackberry wine, blueberry wine -both yet to be tested!) -and were given apples to try.
We saw people on rented bicycles in the area, and it looks like a safe, interesting area to explore.

We would recommend at any time!
The whole process of booking was handled smoothly. Dinner arrangements were no problem at all. People have experience here. We also booked a typical "Boßeltour" thru the hotel during which we had some unpleasant experience, which we have since reported to the hotel.
The hotel restaurant offers a wide range of local specialties, all quite tasty. The service in the restaurant is friendly and competent. All in all, these people know their business!
Jork, in the middle of Germany´s largest apple growing area, near to Hamburg on the other side of the Elbe, makes for a great point to explore this special area.Only negative, upon checking out, I found the process rather "cool" and rather unrepresentative of the overall warm experiences we had all along.

Charming location in the Altes Land
The Hotel Altes Land is an excellent location to explore the fruit growing area of the Altes Land with miles and miles of bike trails. During the apple blossom time this setting will be superb.
The hotel itself has two sections, one the older original hotel with its traditional rooms and the second new building with very spacious bright rooms. This is where we stayed and were very pleased. The room included two comfortable chairs to relax in as well as a desk in case you need to do some work. There is a large free parking area too.
A complete Buffet Breakfast is included in the room price. They also have a good restaurant and there are a few other restaurants within walking distance as the hotel is in the center of Jork.
