Always recommended

Nice, small hotel with beautiful outdoor facilities near the spa gardens and about a 20-minute walk to the old town. Very friendly and accommodating owners. Breakfast buffet is very varied and plentiful.
A small wellness area can be used.

More boutique pension than hotel.

We were driving through the area and found this on B.com, being the height of summer there were not that many places available and the prices therefor were a tad high.
The not hotel (no evening diner) public areas are fantastic and the rooms okay - bring your own kettle if you want room service. The breakfast was excellent.
Plenty of parking.
The insistence of many German \ Austrian hotels and restaurants to be paid in cash whatever B.com say, is a tad annoying - but if we do not like it you can always holiday back home and miss some lovely people and countryside.

Enjoyable Stay

This hotel is in the throughs of being refurbished and extended. Don't let this put you off, we didn't see anything or hear any noise.
The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet and the breakfast has a very good assortment to suit everybody.

Pleasant enough hotel, although the welcome could have been warmer

This hotel is nice but the owner was not very welcoming when we checked in. He is a man of very few words and does not make small talk.
Our double room was well equipped, including a small table and two chairs. The bathroom was very modern, with a nice shower. The room had plenty of electric plug points, conveniently located either side of the bed. There is no air conditioning but there is free wifi. Our friends were in room 26, which had pale, thin curtains. These kept neither the streetlight nor the sunlight out, so they had a very disturbed night.
Breakfast was good, with a range of tea/coffee, fruit, yoghurt, cold meat/cheese, breads & cereals on offer.
Finally, guests must pay their bill in cash, despite both the booking confirmation and hotel's advertised details stating that credit card payment is accepted. It is not, so beware.

Very nice hotel

I am very surprised to see the bad reviews for this hotel. We have stayed in many small hotels and inns throughout Germany for the last twenty years and this is the nicest we have been to. We were on the ground floor of the new wing. The room was quiet with great closet space with a safe. The bathroom was newly remodeled with a innovative shower that the owner very nicely showed us how to work. We used the living room off the hallway often to play games or eat lunch with our grandchildren. The owner showed us how to keep the lights on continually. The breakfast had great variety and worked for our 3 generations with gluten free and lactose issues. The owner bent over backwards to help us with anything we need. I highly recommend this hotel. We were there for 10 days, by the way.
