Perfect for kaffeekuchen

We wandered in here while walking in the woods at Bad Essen, and were delighted to be met with warmth, friendly service and delicious food. The coffee is good, the cherry pie and hot chocolate are truly excellent. The waiter was very kind to our small boy, who also appreciated the provision of toys to play with! And after all that, the bill was astonishingly small. A pleasure.

Beautiful hotel and really friendly staff

Steve the owner went out his way to ensure our stay was pleasant, it was great as he was British communication was easy and we got talking over some drinks he offered on the house. He gave us lots of information on local tourist attractions and even recommended some budget hotels for us around the country. All the staff were very friendly and helpfull. The room was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. It's in a really scenic location so was a very tranquil stay. The only thing I would say is that if you're travelling on a budget like we were you might find it a bit pricey. It was 70euros for the night and breakfast isn't included but we really enjoyed it nonetheless!

Hotel Altes Berghaus Bad Essen

Sauberkeit ist ungenügend.
Starker Renovierungsstau.
Sehr schlechter Mobiltelefon Empang.

Enge Zimmer, hartes Bett. Schmierige Fernbedienung.
