Anytime again
Room very good as in the brochure. From the hotel div. Attractions within walking distance or by car (have not used public transport) within a very short time. At Fraen simply ask Fam Niederee - "You will be helped".
Anytime again - I just have to collect a few days vacation... - because not everything worth seeing has been done yet...

Clean and tidy lovely hosts
between us we had 2 double and a twin room, the day we turned up was a public holiday and they were able to rearrange a few things to fit us in, all our rooms were large clean and tidy, they was a little dated WRT the furniture etc., we found this through out our trip, if you are travelling and staying in relatively small towns off the more well known tourist routes this is what you should expect. as long as it is clean and well presented that is all that matters, our room was at the front no problem with noise or traffic with the window open, we had a nice little seating area with a table.
There were some nice old pictures through out the hotel depicting the town from the 1800;s, they have a restaurant which looked and smelled like good local food but we didn't use it we were more interested in sitting on the river bank eating our evening meal, breakfast was the normal continental with all fresh produce and as much tea and coffee as you wanted, one thing we did notice throughout our trip if you drink tea take your own tea bags one of our friends couldn't get a descent cup of tea through out Germany or Holland.
The couple who run the hotel very friendly and spoke good English and were only to happy to help us with our German.
If we were in the area again we would stay here it is clean tidy and not overpriced, the hotels on the river were around 15 euros a room dearer most with no secure parking.

Empfehlenswert für Durchreisende
Der Blick geht leider auf einen sehr unattraktiven Hinterhof.
Das Einzelzimmer Nr. 12 ist einfach aber zweckmäßig eingerichtet.
Das Alter der Einrichtung würde ich ca. auf den Zeitraum 1980 -1990 schätzen.
Der Fernseher dürfte etwas größer sein. Aber man ist ja nicht zum Fernsehen hier.
Die Matratze war für mich von der Härte ok.
Allerdings hat das Kopfkissen seinen Namen nicht verdient. Viel zu flach so das der Kopf quasi direkt auf der Matratze ruht.
Das Haus ist recht hellhörig so das jede Spülung bzw. jedes Duschen aus dem Nachbarzimmer zu hören ist.
Schade das man das Zimmer nicht vollständig verdunkeln kann, ich kann halt im "hellen" nicht wirklich gut schlafen.
Da gibt es sicher dichtere Vorhänge.
Positiv ist, das sich das Hauptlicht direkt vom Bett aus schalten lässt.
Das Frühstück lässt auf den ersten Blick nichts vermissen.
Von Brötchen und diversen Brotsorten über verschiedenen Käse-und Wurstsorten bis hin zu Marmeladen, Nussnougatcreme, Erdnussbutter sowie Honig war alles vorhanden. Selbst 2 Müslisorten warten auf ihren Verzehr.
Einzige Manko schien, das alle Artikel irgendwie abgezählt waren und auch nicht mehr nachgefüllt wurden.
Satt geworden sind wir aber allemal.
Die Wirtsleute waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Für Fragen zur Umgebung und Möglichkeiten steht der Wirt gerne Rede und Antwort.
Alles in allem kann man hier aber sicher die ein oder andere Nacht verbringen.
Preis/Leistung geht hier absolut ok.
