I feel cheated

A worn out hotel, damaged furniture, dirty bathroom and fridge. Sink and tap were dirty. Sheets of the bed don't cover the mattress.
One of the nights the terrasse was rented for a really loud Techno-party, keeping us awake all night.
Breakfast exist of a plate with an egg, a kind of cheese and a little bit of jam and a piece of bread. No cutlery and you need to ask for coffee.
The hotel doesn't reflect the reality shown on the websites.

Dirty hotel and poor service, also from Traveldeal

Booked a 3 star hotel in Cairo through Traveldeal, hotel was very dirty and had many defects. Did not meet the booked of a deluxe double room. I'm used to it and never really whinge, but now I feel the need to, because it bothers me quite a bit. After complaining in the hotel nothing was done about it and via Traveldeal it was said that I should have booked a 4-star hotel? Did not feel taken seriously and they did not take responsibility for their bad product. After a notice email and still no positive response, or at least acceptance of my valid complaint, I was referred to the disputes committee. That was nice, but they know they are not a member of that and so got zero on my request.
I work in the hotel business myself and know that we would certainly have solved this differently. Very unfortunate this, but had to say it.

Please avoid this hotel. Definitely the worst hotel we have ever experienced.

We are experienced travelers and have stayed in dozens of hotels over the years — from budget to luxury. Never before have we felt compelled to write a review like this. The Makadi Pyramids View in Giza is nothing short of a travesty and deserves a firm warning to anyone considering booking here.
Hygiene: downright disgusting
Let's start with what a hotel should offer at least: clean rooms. That was completely absent here. The room was demonstrably not cleaned on arrival after the previous guests. The bed linen was dirty, the towels were stained, and the glasses in the room still had toothpaste from the previous guests on the inside.
During our six night stay the room was not cleaned once. No fresh towels, no clean sheets, no bed made. The bathroom was dirty on arrival and remained so throughout the stay. The fridge was dirty inside. This is not a bad hotel — this is a health risk.
Breakfast: a mockery
The hotel advertises breakfast. The reality: in six days we have received breakfast three times. And that breakfast consisted of a croissant, a boiled egg and a packet of yogurt on a tray outside the door. No buffet, no table, no service. Look at the pictures — this speaks for itself. On the other days: nothing. No explanation, no alternative, no excuses.
Wifi: does not exist
The wifi is completely non-existent. Not bad, not slow — there's simply no Wi-Fi. What there is: an outdated TP-Link router wrapped in plastic wrap and hung on the wall with cables. It could hardly be more symbolic.
Renovation: until midnight
As if the above was not enough, the hotel was apparently also in the middle of a renovation. Construction workers worked until midnight drilling and hammering. To make matters worse, they entered our room while we were sleeping. This is a violation of our privacy and security — unacceptable.
Staff: disinterest as a business model
The staff has hardly shown any interest in our complaints or the well-being of the guests throughout our stay. The focus was almost entirely on selling tours and excursions, or on one's own telephone. Raising problems had no results.
Setting: no quiet night possible
The location sounds attractive — close to the pyramids. What they don’t tell you: the street serves as a sleeping place for the horses and camels that are used at the pyramids during the day. Early every morning they leave with all the accompanying sounds. And if that's not enough, there's a minaret nearby whose prayer call starts at 5:00 a.m. — loud and inevitable.
Conclusion
No clean rooms. No breakfast. No wifi. Construction workers walking into your room at night. Staff you ignore. Noise nuisance from 05:00. We paid for accommodation and in return received literally nothing of the promised facilities for six days.
Don't book here. There are plenty of alternatives in Giza and Cairo for every budget that do deliver what they promise. The Makadi Pyramids View does not make your money.

Scammers

Don't imagine too much, breakfast consists of 1 sandwich, boiled egg and slice of fetta. That's all. Poor wifi. But it's also Egypt. Staff, the female manager, had arranged for us an excursion to a fantastic swimming pool with slides under the palms etc. Price 50€ p.p. Upon arrival it turned out to be a decrepit gang, dirty brown pool water full of feathers and junk. We went back and wanted our money back. Manager was only available by phone, rest vh staff did not speak English. In short, money gone, ripped off!

Would not recommend

Dilapidated room, full of flies, terrible smell, broken air conditioner, bathroom without toilet paper, with rusty taps. The only positive note a nice common terrace overlooking pyramids.
