Wonderful!
The service at Pension Knoll is warm and friendly. We've stayed in summer and winter and couldn't be happier. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, and the extensive breakfast is fabulous. Great coffee and strong wifi! Eva Knoll speaks excellent English and is super helpful.

Lovely place
We stayed in a modern self-catering apartment comprising a living room with dinning table and kitchen corner and a separate bedroom with Jacuzzi style bath in the room. There is also a separate room with high tec power shower and toilet. On reflection we probably did not book the most appropriate apartment for us as the living room did not have very comfortable seating and we suspect the bedroom with the adjustable bed and bath was intended to be the base of operations. This apartment had no balcony, but others do.
The apartments are not cheap, but you get what you pay for and this apartment is modern and 'up-market' with air-conditioning. It was good value.
We also really liked taking breakfast. We were not sure about having breakfast when self-catering, but we tried it on the first morning and as a result asked if we could have it every morning of our 1 week sty. At 8 euros each it was really good value, delicious and served by really nice staff, including the owner - Eva Knoll.
Excellent English is spoken. Eva gives you lots of local information. The restaurant across the square is good, and although we had booked an apartment for self catering, we actually did very little cooking in the apartment and really treated the pension as a bed and breakfast (which it is in other rooms).
The apartment is in the village which is a 10 minute walk up the hill from the lake. The lake itself is wonderful - favoured by the Austrian artist Gustav Klimt a century ago. You can get around Attersee by boat, but I would recommend a car as there is so much to see and explore.

So welcoming!
We stayed for three nights and are non-german speakers. Ms. Eva was so helpful and made us feel like we were staying with good friends. The room was spotless and had the best shower and bath ever! The town is charming and close to Salzburg and the entire Salzkamergut region.

Warm welcome and excellent service
My husband and I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay while visiting the Austrian lakes (Salzkammergut). Pension Knoll is very well located making it easy to go to all the lakes in the region, and even go to Salzburg. Pension Knoll is cozy and comfortable and Mrs Eva Knoll thinks of every little detail to make her guests feel most welcome. It was a pleasure to talk to her everyday and she was very knowledgeable about the area, being able to give us all the information we needed to make the best of our vacation. Breakfast had a large variety of options to accommodate every taste. And there was fresh cake every morning made by Mrs Eva Knoll herself! We really enjoyed our stay at Pension Knoll and we will sure return there when we visit the Austrian lakes again.

excellent and welcoming guest-house
As a mature couple who travels a lot and wishes to have a pleasant night rest as well as a good breakfast we were delighted to be hosted in Pension KNOLL am Attersee. We have enjoyed every moment of our 4 nights stay at this excellent guest-house in the picturesque small town Schörfling by lake Attersee.
This pension contains deluxe guest rooms as well as holiday apartments, all of them modern, spacious and well equipped.
The breakfast is rich and tasteful, contains various and best products, and if the weather permits you can enjoy sitting in the nice and green garden.
Mainly I must praise the hostess, Mrs. Eva Knoll, kind, smiling and warmhearted, she does everything to assist and to satisfy her guests.
This guest-house is an ideal starting point for excursions in the region of lakes, Salzkammergut, the popular city of Salzburg and the whole district of Upper-Austria.
Pension KNOLL am Attersee provided us a splendid vacation experience and deserves our best recommendations.
