Salzburg is beautiful
The Hotel is a little bit out of the way. Bus stops near by. A Maccas down the road and two Supermarkets close by. About 30 mins walking distance to the main Old Town area. Ample food opportunities in the old area. The room had ample space and was clean. Staff were helpful

Poor quality and high prices. Avoid
All hotels in Salzburg are expensive. In that context this is a mid range hotel. However in every other way it is a low quality establishment. Rooms are dated, tired and worn. Pillows are shocking, thin and worn. Tvs are old . The past majority of rooms do not have a fridge. They are small, dark rooms. Ours had many scuffs and scrapes, broken hooks, radiator leaked and was covered in mould obviously not cleaned in ages. Raised these points with the management via email with photos. Absolutely no response. We asked for a refund to let us go somewhere else. Again Absolutely not response. Please avoid for your own sake.

Needs a fresh up in space and personnel
Rather suboptimal is that even during the festival period the bar remains closed 2 days a week. It is even more incomprehensible that you have no drinks in stock at the reception, which is also largely unprofessional. The renovation backlog in the rooms is glaring (see photos). Overall, therefore, less pleasing.

Worst Holiday Inn I’ve been to. The tub had all sorts of mold growing around the edges. The shower head was broken and barely hanging on. Went to the restaurant to order dessert but they closed all service for guests to accommodate a tour group’s private dinner, I couldn’t even get a bottled beer from the front desk staff even though the beer fridge always a few feet away. The thermostat doesn’t seem to work and it has no readings either. Then on our last night there the hot water went out in the whole building and still wasn’t working the next morning either!

The staff were incompetent, 1. They assigned us a room that someone was already in, 2. The 2nd room smelled like stale cigarettes and the door didn’t open properly 3. The 3rd room, the blind was broken in the down position, this got us a 20% discount on the room 4. The staff apparently didn’t have the powers to split the bill payment 50/50 as they didn’t know how to do it and the manager was new and apparently didn’t have the power to do it.
