overcharged. untrustworthy
They charge per kWh of electricity, but won't let you see the start or end meter readings. Over charged compared to amount used
They charge extra "taxes" not advertised.

Smells like a scam!
Via ACSI and google we found camping Walch's. The website looks slick and well cared for. In the end we booked 2 nights.
While my wife was checking us in, a lady came out and gestured to me to follow her with the caravan. Driving behind me I had the feeling that this was conducted very strictly. Arriving at the spot the woman gave directions when to move left/right and when to stop with a final hand gesture that this was it.....our caravan was in place...
She told me that the car could be parked in the parking lot and that she would be back immediately. And indeed she did. Along with a bunch of keys she asked if I had a long power cable and yes of course we have it with us. After plugging into the caravan, the lady went ahead of me to an electrical box that was locked. I wasn't allowed to put the plug in the socket myself. The woman quickly grabbed the plug, put it in the socket and closed the door even faster. I thought it seemed a bit strange, but later I understood why.
Electricity is a revenue model for camping Walch's and it looks a lot like a scam, but I'll get to that later!
Asked for a wifi code, we could get it, but it had to be paid 4 euros and a little per day. Where other campsites offer free Wi-Fi, Walch's wants to raise prices with Wi-Fi. We chose not to do wifi then. And yes, we should have known that wifi had to be paid for, but that information is still mentioned at many campsites, while it is still offered for free. This kind of info is sometimes not yet updated on the websites.
At the campsite all the caravans are neatly lined up and from a distance you could almost use a ruler to see that the distance between the caravans is almost the same everywhere. All caravans are also in exactly the same direction, making it look like an honorary cemetery from a distance.
The plumbing we do give ****, because that looked well cared for and clean. On the upper floor of the main house is a sauna and that also looks neatly groomed. Of the 4 saunas, 2 were in use. For a cup of tea, 2,- Euro must be paid....
When checking out, my wife asked if the camping ACSI card could be used. The man behind the reception responded very unkindly that that could not be done for that money: "Do you know how expensive staff are? There is no campsite in Voralberg that does business with ACSI." My wife told me to ask a question badly, after which the man changed his attitude and tied it down.
He then told my wife to wait at reception while he unplugged the power cable. He made it clear that it was not wanted that she walked with me to the power box. He quickly locked the door of his reception and walked away smoothly to the power box to return later and announce that we had used 8 kwh.
The consumption of 8 kwh was quite strange, because we had just come from a campsite in the Black Forest where we had used less than 5 kwh for the same number of nights, while it was much warmer there and we had been there more with the caravan. At Walch's we have hardly been except to sleep because we were away for a walk, etc. How can there be a difference of 3 kwh???
To come back to what I wrote earlier about the arrival and the way the woman wanted to plug in the socket herself and very quickly locked the door again, I also understand why my wife was absolutely not wanted to come with me when unplugging. Camping Walch's is just ripping off its customers to earn a few extra euros! If you are transparent, take 2 photos to show the consumption, but not like this.
We have a particularly nasty aftertaste of Walch's and won't be back!
