Very lovingly designed and affordable hostel at the Tyrolean Zugspitze Arena.
A very nice family-run hostel, the entire house is lovingly decorated. Very clean rooms, simple but with their own shower. Kitchen and drinks available in the house. Breakfast is said to be excellent, but we left for our tour very early and unfortunately could not use it. Staff is exceptionally well organized and always friendly.

Great Hostel, familiar, uncomplicated and beautiful
We were for a Zugstpitz climb a few days in Ehrwald and were looking for a nice, flexible accommodation, which does not cost a fortune and is not a usual apartment or pension room with "marriage bed". One of the reasons we chose Mellow Mountain is because the rooms have single beds or you can put the beds apart. We got a wonderful and absolutely perfect stay that could not have been better. Our room was pleasantly spacious and had a large corner balcony with a beautiful mountain and meadow panorama. The decor is functional and an exceptional mix of modern and original. You can feel every detail how much love and heart went into the Hostel and the idea of the host family. The host family is super nice, always holds good tips and was also easy to reach in advance and very helpful. We felt super comfortable and also used the beautiful lounges, especially the cozy conservatory, e.g. for brought dinner (pizzeria and supermarket are within walking distance, as is the center of Ehrwald). We also made very nice acquaintances. There are chilled/hot drinks in the hostel's bar, which are added to the room bill. Cutlery and washing up facilities are available. The audience is colorful, international and everything is there from families, solo travelers, friends, couples. Opposite the hostel there is also a car park. What you should know is that the reception is only open in the morning and from 4pm. However, this is also adequately communicated in the emails and on site. We were only back from our hikes in the afternoon anyway. We really enjoyed the time at Mellow Mountain and are really grateful for this great accommodation concept. If we go back to Ehrwald, we will definitely book the Mellow Mountain again. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Comfort, simplicity and conviviality
Principle between hotel and youth hostel. Super nice !!
We had a private room like a hotel (without TV) and common areas available: space to relax, play board games (a few offered but bring your own), darts (free) and a kitchen to be able to cook yourself (fully equipped + fridge available for the duration of your stay).
Heartwarming welcome. Tastefully decorated. Chill atmosphere.
Hostel close to the cable cars for Seebensee, Zugspitze, Eibsee 30 minutes...
The reception gives you a card which allows you to take the bus for free.
Clientele of all ages and calm.
Do not hesitate to contact reception if you need a hairdryer, towels, etc.
The +: for €7/person/day: possible access to a sauna and a hammam within the hostel.
As it is not a classic hotel, the reception is not open 24 hours a day.
Simple breakfast but given the poor offer in bakeries in the area (and the possibility of having your groceries): correct offer (surprisingly for the region: no cheese/charcuterie offered).
Only small downside: on the edge of a busy road but it is well isolated so there is no need to open the window at night.
In short, we recommend +++ and we enjoyed the stay of 4 days and 3 nights ☺️

Nice
We Mike to be accomodated in hostels to Meer peoople and their lifestyle and this was the Palace we really Mike it and enjoy it so we hope we will come back very Solon the Nest summer and hopenalso in Winter

Great location and warm staff
The location of this hostel is incredible. You're surrounded by the beautiful mountains, with hikes and cable cars right on your doorstep. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about the area so can and will help you plan your excursions and they give you transport passes too which come in handy.
They offer breakfast, but there are cooking facilities if you want to make your own meals too.
The rooms were spacious, clean and had great views. And the hostel feels more like a 4* hotel.
I actually flew into Germany and got the train to Ehrwald which was really easy and the hostel is so close to the station.
