Spacious well appointed 2 room apartment. Clean and fairly modern. Some nice touches with recipe books and basics such as containers of sugar, coffee, tea etc - not just those small single serves you get everywhere. Communications with the hosts were very good. Good off-street parking. Located at the northern end of North Ward and one street back from the Strand. Only a couple of eateries/coffee places close by but the numbers increase the further you go heading back towards the southern end. Very handy to the Jezzine/Kissing Point park and the Rock Pool. Street noise etc not too bad - about what you'd expect. You're not in the country after all. Lovely place to stay.

Not Happy With My Stay

We stayed for one week, we booked from our state ( WA) approximate 2 months before this holiday, we paid $200 a night, (certainly too much for what we got), from the Internet, it looked good, but, when we got there, I am sure there was no insulation in the walls (you could hear everything going on both sides of our unit, plus there was a very large dog next door that barked its head off day and night.
The worst is to come, no ceiling fan in the toilet, yes it had a small window, but if anyone did number 2, the smell stayed in the toilet for hours, I CHANLENGE THE OWNERS TO STAY IN THIS UNIT ( NUMBER 6) FOR 2 DAYS AND NIGHTS, AFTER THIS THEY WILL GET A CEILING FAN PUT IN STAIGHT AWAY, COME ON GUYS, DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS TOILET PROBLEM, AT THE MOMENT, I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO STAY HERE

Comfortable and clean

The apartment was nice and clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the linen was nice also. There was everything in the unit that was needed virtually. Only downfall was the junk laying around outside. And the permanent residents parked where they wanted at times. Other than that it was nice and close to the Strand. Walking distance to Main Street.

Quiet location, walking distance to shops, restaurants and cafes

The unit was reasonably clean and comfortable (if a little dark with not much natural light). My biggest bugbear is, I hate plastic kettles and teflon cookware which are always chipped and scratched and we're eating enough plastics and chemicals these days. Big plus, two stainless steel saucepans. The plastic jug itself was terribly stained brown so I don't know if it's Townsville water. The bed was very comfortable. The two airconditioning units were annoying with their whistling sounds. It was a good base to the Strand area and dining options.

While Angelwaters was an older property, the apartment was newly renovated, spacious, secure and comfortable. It was walkable to Coles, a range of restaurants and The Strand. I would be happy to stay there again.
