A GOOD BUDGET OPTION

Did everything we expected from a BUDGET hotel. $129 for a twin room for 2. Clean, comfy beds. tea and coffee making facilities. Clean room (even the window was sparkling clean) Clean and functional bathroom. TV worked. Plenty of parking. Common areas a bid dated but again clean. Pool looked nice and clean as well. RECOMMEND.

Older style motel but appears recently renovated.
Room was clean and tidy and surprisingly quiet.

Horrible, don’t stay here

We booked this accommodation before it changed hands to the new owners, and unfortunately our stay was extremely disappointing.
We had two rooms as our family was split between them, and both were very small and clearly in need of a lot of maintenance and renovation. The skirting boards had been removed from the walls, leaving exposed glue and unfinished areas all around the rooms. There were holes and damage to the walls, including a hole in the bathroom that had simply been covered with black tape.
The bathroom door frame was badly rusted and deteriorating, and the overall condition of the rooms felt very run-down. There was also only one usable power point in the room, and the tea and coffee facilities were extremely basic.
The entire property had a very unpleasant smell that we could only describe as smelling like old/off shaving cream.
More concerning was the security. The front door to the building did not lock, and the doors to our rooms did not close properly unless you really pushed on them to make sure they were shut. At one point, someone we did not know actually entered our room without warning. In the second room our family was staying in, someone also attempted to enter at around 2am. This was frightening and left us feeling extremely uncomfortable and unsafe.
The hallways are also extremely narrow, which makes getting through difficult, particularly when housekeeping carts are in the hallway or another guest is trying to pass. There are also stairs only to access the upstairs level, which is worth being aware of if you have young children, luggage or mobility difficulties.
When we were leaving, we also noticed a large water leak in the hallway, with the carpet visibly wet.
The photos show just some of the condition our rooms were in during our stay. For accommodation that is currently accepting paying guests, we expected a much better standard of maintenance, cleanliness, security and presentation.
We were so uncomfortable with the accommodation that we decided to leave at approximately 4:30am rather than stay any longer. We had originally planned to leave much later that morning, but after everything that happened during the night, we simply did not feel comfortable staying. Leaving before sunrise felt like the better option than spending any more time there.
Unfortunately, I absolutely would not recommend staying here. There are plenty of other accommodation options around — I would choose somewhere else.
