Beautiful heritage property in a nice location. Very spacious and clean. Only the bathroom and kitchen are a bit outdated and could be renovated.

remarkable manor! altough it's a bit dated (authenticits taken into account) a nice stay. be aware of the little flies though, they are everywhere, especially in the bath

A Gem from yesteryear for antique buffs, and handy to everything,

A lovely heritage home with eclectic antique displays. Beautiful gardens to enjoy. A look into yesteryear, with all the amenities one needs. Easy to travel around and find again! Lots of car parking. Comfy furniture, some a little worn , but in keeping with the era. I am coveting the teal wash jug and basin, and the willow ware salt and pepper shakers! The foyer is amazing. Tip, the showerhead needs replacing or cleaning out, and I would replace the loo with a higher white ceramic one and the cistern too. Taps could be more “federation” style, but then, I am a renovator and probably take more notice than most……

Decent

We stayed here for 3 nights. When we arrived, Regina showed us around and gave so much helpful information. She’s kept so many maps and pamphlets in the house with lot of information on Adelaide.
We had booked the Butlers(2 bedrooms) We were a family of 4 and it was spacious. The beds were ok.
The kitchen is well equipped. There’s a cellar down in the kitchen and that was so exciting for the kids! The only major issue was there’s only 1 bathroom (huge with a bath) which is not near any of the rooms but at the at the entrance. It felt weird and scary at first but then we warmed up to the place. The rooms were well maintained but the outside patio, tables chairs railing has cobwebs and was quite dirty. There’s a separate laundry room outside. You need to get your own detergent though.
The house is filled with so many antiques, it was really interesting just exploring the house. There were a lot of books in the house as well. The floors are quite creaky and make a lot of sound when anyone’s walking.
While this was great for a one time start we would look at another place next time.

Very nice old cottage in a tidy garden at the back of the main house. Comfortable bed and quiet location.
