The Vaclav Havel Airport (PRG) in Prague is the primary airport in the city of Prague, and a key aviation hub for the Czech Republic. All international flights to this city will be directed here, but you will find this is a good airport with all the standard facilities passengers need while travelling. Things to do in Prague

There are lots of things to do in Prague, but you should kick off your tour of the city by visiting the historic centre of the city, the Old Town Square, and its Astronomical Clock. Other highlights include the Clementium (and its gorgeous national library) and the old Tyn Church. Many visitors combine a trip to the old square with one to the Jewish Quarter, which housed the important Jewish Museum, and many fascinating sites, like the Spanish Synagogue, and the Old Jewish Cemetery.

After the old town, you must make time for the impressive Prague Castle, which holds within its walls the St. George’s Basilica, St. Vitus Cathedral, and the Royal Palace. The castle complex is vast—the largest of its kind in the world, and is a historian’s dream to tour. There are lots of salacious details about the royals that lived here, and you will gain a great insight over the 1000 years of history this castle has stood witness to.

Then in the evening, as the sun is setting, you should stroll to Charles Bridge. Perhaps one of the most iconic bridges in Europe, this is a beautiful example of medieval architecture, and an important link to the two sides of the city. Best time to visit Prague

·         Spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) are ideal seasons to visit this city. Most of the summer crowd has dissipated, but the days stay at a lovely 15-20°C.

·         Winter is really cold, but has a magical quality to it, especially when the Christmas markets pop up. Pack a winter jacket, as this season often sees freezing temperatures.

·         Summers in the city can be very crowded, but affords travellers great weather to explore the city’s natural surrounds. The mercury sits at a temperate 23-24°C in these months.

Arriving in Prague

·         Prague is a popular destination, and you can fly to this city from almost every major city in Australia. Some local cities offer connecting routes with only one stopover, which is preferable. Expect these to be in Dubai (DXB) or Shanghai (PVG).
