The Santiago Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport (SCL) services Chile’s capital city, Santiago. As the largest airport in the country, this facility also functions as a key aviation hub for much of South America, and you can find lots of domestic and international flights offered from this port. Seeing over nine million passengers a year, you’ll find that this airport is well equipped to deal with a traveller’s needs in transit.
In terms of facilities, there are cash machines and currency exchange counters, as well as a post office. Telephones are located throughout the terminals, and there are internet kiosks you can access. For any health related needs, you can find a pharmacy and a medical centre available to passengers. You can also find a handy tourist information centre if you are coming into the country for the first time and need a little direction.
If you’re feeling hungry pre or post flight, there are several restaurants, cafes and bars you can sit and grab refreshments in, and there are lots of shops, both boutique and branded that you can browse whilst you wait.
Qantas operates flights directly from Australia, but you can also find connecting routes with Air Canada, American Airlines and LATAM.
