· Summers (June-August) in New York are hot and lively, with average highs of 20-29°C.

· Spring and autumn are temperate, with some showers, and temperatures of 10-18°C.

· If you visit during the winter, especially in December, you’ll see the city lit up with lights in preparation for Christmas and the New Year. It is frequently snowy in winter at this time of year, so expect temperatures of -3to 4°C.

· All flights to New York from Australia will involve one or two layovers en-route. Usually these will be Los Angeles (LAX), Auckland (AKL), Hong Kong (HKG) or Vancouver (YVR).
