If you’re flying into Marco Polo Airport, the airport is located approximately 8km from the city centre of Venice, where most hotels in Venice are located. Transport into the Venice city centre is available by water taxi, which makes stops in Venice at San Marco (a 1 hour and 12 minute journey), Rialto (57 minute journey), Fondamenta Nuove (38 minute journey) and Le Guglie (42 minutes).
When exiting the arrivals hall, follow the covered walkway for approximately 7 minutes until you reach the dock where the water bus operates from. There are also shuttle buses operated by ACTV and ATVO AIR TERMINAL shuttle, and the journey time to Venice city centre is around 20-25 minutes.
If you prefer to rent a car from Venice Marco Polo Airport, then you can pick up your vehicle (whether you have prebooked or not) from the P1 parking area (exit the Airport Arrivals area, and look for the covered walkway on the left and follow signs to the P1 parking).
For those flying into Venice Treviso Airport, the airport is further away from the Venice city centre than Marco Polo Airport, but still around 31km away. In terms of transport from the airport into Venice, buses are available from the company ATVO, and travel directly to Piazzale Roma in Venice's city centre. You can also take an ACTT line 6 to Treviso railway station where you can then catch a train to Venezia Santa Lucia (the train station right in the heart of Venice city centre).
