Good motel but breakfast needs improvement.

This is a cute, small, modern motel. I paid $95 total. The room was very nice but they put us in a spot where we could not see outside without craning our necks and peeking far to the side. It was just a view of a nearby wall, but we did not complain. Lobby is attractive with cathedral ceiling. Breakfast is average (no eggs or meats) and the breads were not good, so we went to McDonalds. The motel is located next to a grocery store, convenience store, McD., Hardees, and a good Mexican restaurant is a couple blocks away. The motel is situated in a large development that is incomplete. Driveways are rutted in sections and the area appears under construction. Perhaps surprisingly, I liked it and would stay here again.

Won't be back

We had stayed at this particular Quality Inn before, last year - and really loved it, so we booked it again for this road trip. However, we were disappointed. While the staff were friendly and the room large, clean, and comfy, the entire place seemed just blah. Last year, there was a definite attention to detail, and everything looked gorgeous. This time it was just bare and plain - especially the lobby. Breakfast was sorely lacking with the juice machine out of order and no bread of any kind. The hotel's ice machine was also out of order, causing us to have to stop and purchase ice after we left in the morning. At one point there was a woman in the lobby who accidentally locked herself out of her room, and there was no one at the front desk. She waited a long while and even rang the bell but no one came. We found and had to make a phone call for help, and only then did a disheveled man appear to assist. Ridiculous.

Close to rafting and better than camping

The motel is the closest to all the whitewater rafting sites, so location is ideal. Plenty of free parking. The AC in the room worked really well and the bed was super comfy. Our room was huge and had a refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker in the room. Front desk staff was very friendly. But…the lock to our door didn’t work. We had a huge hairball in our bathroom and found a spider in the tub. AC in the lobby was not working and “breakfast” was lacking…basically cereal, cinnamon rolls and a waffle maker. Juice machine was out of order. But they did have flavored creamer for our coffee. :) Thankfully there is a Hardee’s and McDonalds next door. This room was only ok, and considering all the “out of service” things, should have been 1/2 the rate we paid.

Unclean and disappointed

We found the room to be somewhat unclean, especially in bathroom where there were water stains and a brown stain on the counter as well as mold in the shower. Hotel overall needs some updates and repairs. Pillows were lumpy. Breakfast okay but nothing hot, except waffles, or healthy. It was not worth the money spent.

Quality Inn - Ocoee, TN

This is a small hotel in a tiny town (that's really just a stop on the highway) that's geared toward white water rafting industry and that has no other hotels. There is a small grocery store next door, a Dollar General and a few restaurants in the area. Check in was quick and easy - the front desk employee was friendly and helpful. There is no elevator, so beware! If you have a disability or struggle with stairs, request a downstairs room. The room was large and nice. The King bed was comfortable. The handicapped room just had a small tub seat for a regular tub with rails. It was very low and would be hard for some to get up and down off of it. Also you have to step over the tub edges to get into the tub. Not really safe. Outside door by our room slams very loud whenever someone goes in or out. The front desk actually called our room to see if we were slamming doors because other guests had complained! No, we were napping. We did hear a little bit of noise - footsteps- from room above, but it wasn't bad and was shortlived. When I checked in, I asked for room service for the following day, but they never came. I had to go ask for towels. Breakfast was waffle maker, toast, cereal, small cinnamon rolls, yogurt, coffee and juice. No meat. It was okay. I've had better and I've had worse. Hotel is pet-friendly. We had our little terrier with us who barks if he hears a leaf blowing outside. Luckily we didn't get any complaints. We did our best to keep him quiet but he has a very loud bark. I would stay here again if we were ever in the area. Closest other hotels are in Cleveland or Chattanooga. The room rate was decent.
