Perfect little place run by the nicest people

Next time I find myself in Machynlleth, I will be staying at Toad Hall. Not only was it the most adorable and quaint little hostel, but Bill and Louise treated me like family. I felt so welcomed during my stay, and I am sure my time in Machynlleth wouldn’t have been the same if I had stayed somewhere else in town. Lastly, the location was perfect as well. It’s right on the edge of town, tucked back in a short alley off of the main road and next to the train station, T2 bus stop, and Texaco.

Great place

Lovely community , lovely host was very friendly and welcoming. Clean bedroom, nice place to tuck away. Very lovely homely feel to the place. Ideal location for my husband and I cycling trip. No issues whatsoever. Close to the shop which is very handy.

Perfect start to bikepacking trip!

Tucked away in a quiet but convenient location. The hosts are amazing. Nothing too much bother. Warm comfy bed. Huge, quirky, clean communal area. A proper home from home. Very well equiped. Secure bike storage available. A fantastic first night bikepacking around Wales!

Fab little hostel.

Fab hostel with everything needed for a cheap overnight stay in Machynlleth. Private rooms.....clean & cosy. Use of clean well equipped kitchen and bathroom. It's a hostel not a hotel so its basic. Conveniently located behind petrol station/co-op. Bed linen & towels provided by friendly helpful owners.
