Simple nice hotel

Nice hotel with a great location. Easy to find and a ☝️ louse was tea and cakes at reception. Highly recommend this affordable basic hotel. Will gladly return this summer to visit the summer city. Plus for those who are allergic when it is completely pet-free hotel.

Okay.

Good location in the city center. Got good info before arrival regarding codes and where the key would be.
Good room, not newly renovated but clearly nice.
Breakfast was not served at the hotel but at Scandic Laholmen, located a few hundred meters away. Did nothing for me to go that far. Maybe complicated for a family with children.
Breakfast at Laholmen was very good!
Not very many parking facilities just outside. Had to put the car in a larger public parking lot by the water.

Homey and central,

Brutter’n and I went on a MC tour to Strømstad, where we stayed in a suite (No. 5) at the hotel Krabban. We locked ourselves with codes we got sent by SMS, and then got access to a key. Large and clean room with all amenities + small balcony. Nice service and perfect breakfast.

Central. But not worth the price.

Central location.
Simple standard, but not worth the price. Not ideal if you are sensitive to sound, as everything inside the building crumbles and there is traffic right outside, which makes it difficult to sleep.
We shared bath/wc and took a shower in cold water in the evening.

Good hotel in the center of Strømstad

Hotel Krabban is a B&B hotel. The reception is closed in the evening and until 7 am.
Our room was basic but had enough space. The mattress was comfortable and we slept well Some rooms have a common toilet / bath in the corridor, but we ordered a room with private toilet and bath. The bath had a shower and a basin. The shower was a mixed type (overhead shower and a handheld shower). I never managed to have the square overhead shower work, so I assume the water-switch need to be replaced. There is a TV and a closet in the room. There is no safety box or a fridge.
The breakfast was simple but with fresh bread, ham, cheese, salami and juice or coffee I think most people would be ready for the new day.
The location is ideal, but there might be a little bit difficult to find parking directly outside the hotel entrance.
