Unbeatable value for money!
There is ample parking which is really an asset! The hotel is very old but not at all run down. Everything is very clean and very simple! We spent a whole night without any noise. We really liked this family atmosphere with the receptionist and the adorable cleaning lady who served the coffees ;)

Cheapest place near Empúries
Our goal was to visit the Greek and Roman ruins of Empúries, so we were thrilled to find this place because it is cheap, clean and spacious, and it is just 6 Km away from the ruins.
This property is an old building from the seventies, I believe, but it is a perfect place to stop for a night. It is found in the outskirts of Viladamat where there's nothing but this hotel, a couple of local houses and fields of sunflowers. We actually didn't find anybody at the reception when we arrived late at night, but a very gentle man living in one of the houses helped us to contact the hotel's guy who gave him some instructions in order to let us in.
As said, it is not the most modern and renovated hotel of the region, but it is well maintained and everything is very clean (and rooms have air-conditioning!)
Surprisingly enough, they also have a small pool on the back of the building (see attached pictures) while there's free wifi too.
We didn't try the breakfast, so we cannot make any comments on it. Anyway, it is a place we can recommend given that it is clean, spacious, quiet and cheap.

Fantastic hotel and great service!
We stayed in this hotel on our way from Cadaques to Barcelona and we really enjoyed it. The hotel is run by a very sweet young couple, they are very nice, friendly and helpful. They cover both the reception and kitchen areas and the breakfast they made for us was lovely (albeit a bit pricey). The room was just the right size for one night stay and included everything we needed. We asked for the room on the other side of the building and it was perfectly quiet (there are no other roads or houses on that side, only vegetable fields). Muy bien! Would definitely recommend it to everyone.

One day in L'Escala
We stayed here for one night in June on our journey driving through France and Spain en route to Mallorca. Perfect pit stop and the view of the countryside from the bedroom was lovely. Basic but clean bedrooms and a good continental breakfast on the front terrace the following morning. Great little place if you want to explore the area and need somewhere comfortable to sleep.
St Marti d'Empuries,5 minutes drive away, is a beautiful small coastal village and well worth a visit.

Trato muy familiar, muy atentos tanto el servicio del hostal hasta el personal de cafeteria. Muchas gracias Mónica por lo bien que nos hemos sentido. Habitaciones sencillas pero limpias y completas. Muy tranquilo
